I borrowed my landlord's OEM wheels and raced in my first autocross on Sunday . Unfortunately I either used the wrong cone angle lug nuts or needed to remove some hub-centric helper rings that my daily wheels use, so my wheels kept loosening & vibrating as I drove. Because I'm young and dumb, I kept tightening them, not realizing my error. After the event I came home and broke 3 wheel studs removing the lugs . Clearly I had overtightened them and tomorrow I'm ordering the full Z1 extended wheel stud kit along with open-end lug nuts like we use on our race car. I had planned on adding them anyways, and now it's become a necessity.

Text me some pics of what your doing.

Got the car out on the road and worked on the tune a bit. Much better now, but will need a few days to really clean it up. Then again, hopefully next week I'll get a 3 inch MAF setup and back to tuning.

Installed a new set of RE760's on my Nismo. 245's up front and 275's in the rear. Original RE050A's had about 29,000 miles on them.

Researching some tires for my stock Rays (10" width). Both Nitto and MT recommend 10-12" rim for their 305 drag radials. Decided to try it and settled on the MTs. These things look sick too. Fenders are already rolled. Probably gonna need to pull and roll a little more. Should work out good though.

Nice man! When I went to the track a couple weeks ago I saw a GTR with tires that looked identical to those. Let me know how they work out.

I've heard from a fellow 500whp that the 555 won't hold at all, but the NT05Rs do fairly well and are similar to the MT Street Radial II. He basically told me just go with what you think looks better. LOL! I will try the MTs and then I may try to Nitto NT05r.

not just 19 but a 35 sidewall. I didnt go with the Toyo because of the rubber band 30s. I just do not like it.

Hey tb did you look into grounding your radiator?

Look back a couple pages 275-276 of this thread there were a couple posts about it

Hope it prevents any unnecessary premature wear to your radiator in the future.

For sure I'd hate to see brand new aluminum look like it picked up an STD from electrolysis. Not a problem man

I noticed that my the inner barrels of my wheels were dirty last night and just decided to give the car a good wash for the first time since she came out of the shop a few weeks ago

It is so nice to not have to drive my Z everyday and she just stays so clean because of it.
