Gloss looks really nice. Are you doing this by yourself or do you have a buddy to help you? I want to try this but not enough to buy vinyl for an entire car and give up ha
I might pick up enough vinyl for a fender or the back bumper and test it out. Color looks good

^^^ He does it by himself. Just finished mine last week.

And I would not do the rear bumper on my first try that's one of the hardest parts to wrap with the indents for the turn signals and license plate.

Hey man, plastidip is fun for like an experiment, I did the roof of a Mazda 3 I had previously. But after a while you notice that it looks cheap... and it's evident. The best thing to do for quick colour conversions is to buy vinyl wrap and a heat gun. I just wrapped a few parts in vinyl myself and I will post the pics shortly. Came out pretty great.

Hm, I was thinking about doing the rear cause it's the hardest. Figure if I can do the hardest I'll be more optimistic about doing the rest of the car.
What color is your wrap? Any pics of the car?

I highly recommend John. He did a very clean and meticulous job with my wrap.

Today realized that I've fallen out of love with my Z. It'll be in the for sale section this winter, after I fix a few small issues. It's time to move on to a lighter chassis with more low RPM power.

Got the Z preped for an 800 mile road trip

1. Wrapped front end with painters tape (headlights too)

2. Checked all fluids/belts/ set psi at 36 all around

You should block the front grill as well. I blocked mine and got an extra MPG, could be cirumstantial but it happened. I drove a '97 Accord 1300 miles and did all kinds of things for MPG. Blocking off the entire front grill helped out the most.

And no the car wont over heat. When youre sitting in traffic for 2 hours with no high speed air hitting your radiator, your car doesnt over heat .

Blacked out the chrome on the head lights with VHT Night Shades spray. Opening up the head lights was easier than I thought.

Not sure about that. The nose of the Z, assuming the undershroud and hood seal are in place, is fairly airtight. It's like this so air gets forced thru the radiator, condensor, and power steering/transmission (if 5AT) cooler. If you block the grille, you will get some air drawn in by the fans, but it would have to be coming thru the fender liners. Try it on your car, and let us know, but I'll bet the first symptom will be worse A/C performance, which I can readily notice on my '08 when stopped for a while in traffic.
