I got a set of 4 of these on ebay for $112 when I replaced the wheels on my 2007 Roadster:



I synced them up using the pressures in the FSM and my Consult-III, but you can do the same with the TPMS test connector.

I got mine from someone in the states(he no longer sells them), but there are some sellers in China and Hong Kong selling sets of 4 for less than $80. I don't know that I'd try importing them from Asia though, since it'll bite you twice if they don't work(remounting/rebalancing).

Yeah, I have such bad taste, it's painful. You should see my flooded trousers and mismatched socks. But I couldn't afford real French-Pressed-Double-Black-With-No-Room-Thanks TE37s y'know.

Besides, as I recall, you saw those wheels here before I pulled the trigger and didn't want 'em (cuz o'the above foo-foo coffee whills apparently).

Thanks! Yeah, I need a new set for my Volk TE37s. Is there a huge difference in these compared to the OEM Schraders? I'm just looking for something that will sync up with my '07 effortlessly w/ a great lifespan so I don't have to worry about it again any time soon. Also, where would be my best bet to have them installed & programmed at? Nissan? The shop that I normally use doesn't deal with wheels/tires at all so I'm sort of hesitant on where I should go.

The link shows the OEM Schrader TPMS units, but they're listed as used. Did that bother you at all? I know these sensors only last so long

 

I don't know if I'd buy used sensors...

Those REDI-Sensor TMPS sensors I linked to work fine with my 2007. I'm not sure how any of them would install in the TE37s, you might need an adapter or something... I've seen them for aftermarket wheels before.

Any competent tire shop should be able to install and program/sync them. I had one replaced by Costco and they programmed it easily, and then later I had 4 installed by a tire shop on a set of wheels I brought them. I programmed them myself at home, but I'm sure they could have done it if I brought the car in.

Edit to add: Your local auto shop can probably point you toward a decent tire shop.

 

Yeah I definitely don't want used sensors. At one time we use to have a vendor here that had the OEM hookup but it seems they're long gone now.

When I had my Volk GT-S wheels, I used this and it was perfect. From what I understand (based off the reading I've done) - With the TE37s, I don't believe I need anything, it should be TPMS-compatible already. HOWEVER, I don't want to use my OEM valve stem so I think I need to look for a bracket/adapter for my blue Volk one?



As far as shops are concerned, I'm still on the hunt for a decent place here in Albuquerque. I'm so paranoid about anyone touching my Volks. I'll ask the shop again, but they didn't really have an answer the first time. It was more or less a "good luck" lol

Lots of pictures of borderline donks and trucks with rubber band tires on 26" rims... not my cup of tea, but they can probably handle your expensive wheels without screwing them up.

SO finally got the Z back from JE with the new clutch and flywheel installed from southbend and the car feels more 'sturdy' now. I have noticed a louder 'mechanical' sound coming from the transmission. Is this normal?

Its cause theyre 19s.... i need 18s in my life... haha

These cars are notorious for being noisy. Either the throwout bearing making the normal chatter, or just from the lightweight flywheel. My car sounds like a can of rocks being shaken about. If I'm next to a wall, it's even more audible.

I'm sure it's all fine, just take it easy on the car and allow the clutch to break in and you'll be good!
