Took my Z for a serious drive through Skaggs Springs Road! Also new tires 245/45/18 front and 275/40/18 back Michelin Pilot Super Sports
Beautiful setting. You guys really make me want to move to beautiful NorCal and out of boring flat Florida. On the Pilot Super Sports- I won't run anything but them- bet it was a blast through the hills.
Thanks N0smoke and MicVelo. Yeah its a blast driving out to the coast from Lake Sonoma. The tires grip so well on the bends and most my buddies can't keep up... Especially the American muscle lol
Just swapped out the radiator/ac electric fans... Did it from the top, was like a 20min. job.
A/C fan died. DIY cleaned the magnets, two days later something inside let all of the smoke out. Literally... I thought there was a legit fire in the bay. Luckily the fan just seized up.
Fortune Auto coilovers installed last weekend, full 1" inch drop all-around. Haven't had time to make adjustments but I'll be raising the fronts like half an inch and adjusting the rears accordingly.
So, in my free time this past week I decided I'd fix my front bumper. Indiana being a free state, a front plate is not required. However, the bracket from the previous owner was drilled through the front leaving holes and the bolts to attach the plate were too long leaving this the end result.
There was also some minor spider web type cracking near the badge.
I decided I'd give it a go myself. If my attempt at repair turned my bumper into a bright blue turd, then I'll take it to a pro.
I started by sanding down the raised drill holes with 80grit. Then moved to 600 over a larger area followed by 1200.
After bondo and spot puddy were applied and sanded down, I taped up the area for primer. Wet sanded the dried primer with 600 and 1200. Base was then put down one light coat at a time.
After clear had been applied for 24 hours I wet sanded the entire bumper with 2000. I'd planned on simply buffing after clear but over spray was to stubborn to come off. Buffed the entire thing and I think it looks good.
Considering everything came out of a spray can and all the supplies cost about 60 bucks I couldn't be happier.

Thanks! I bought pretty much every thing from automotivetouchup.com. The color match was spot on.
As cheap as this sounds, I would have rattle canned the entire bumper if I knew it was going to turn out so well ha ha ha.
