The ls is rock solid... you have the LT1 now. I can't remember, did you get the z51 or no? If you don't mind me asking, miles and what did you pay?

Removed my kinetix v+ plenum and changed out the gaskets and put the stock plenum back on. I have a slight suspicion that it was the cause of my check engine light. Guess time will tell...
Also removed the mouse home under my battery and vaccumed out all the little things that didn't belong in my engine.
back to stock... Kinda

After a few rides in the decision to ditch the V+ seems to be a good one. Car seems to idle better and no more gas smells. So far the check engine light is still off also. Guess that cork gasket has a lifespan that I exceeded.
Kinetix probably just expects you to wrap the car around a tree within your first year.

@dboyzalter, are you wanting to sell the v+?
I pulled the cork gasket off, and tossed it in a tote with a set of cylinder heads and a complete set of pedals.
On a side note if anyone is looking for a set of 19-20 double staggered wheels and doesn't mind repainting a brand new set of wheels you can find the last set on tire rack for like $300.. unfortunately the tires would cost like $900 so I passed on the third set of wheels.
I finally got around to swapping the diff. I scoured a diff from a 2020 Nismo 370 with 32 miles on it, yes 32. The stub axles, sensors and Nismo diff cover were all a direct swap. I also put Koni yellows all around and I couldn't be happier. Now I just need to align her for the track.

Did the junk yard rip you off? If I could find one for a reasonable price I would jump all over it. People seem to ask a lot for them.
Yeah, they kinda banged me over the head but it was 100% worth it, especially with the mileage on it. I paid $1000 for it but that seems to be the going rate for a manual 3.9 diff.

That does seem to be about the going rate, with the price of used cars now a days im surprised the junk yards are not gouging more. I know around here the dealerships lots are empty and the repair lots are all full. It's interesting times.
The NADA trade in on the car I got 2 years ago is 4k more than what I paid for it.

After installing new Megan Racing front lower control arm bushings and Mevotech lower ball joints on my Z last week, I finally had new tires installed and then took a trip over the long weekend from MI to WI and back. All told it was over 800 miles. The Z did great, averaging over 27mpg on the drive out and back. I still have a clunk in the front suspension, though, so I'll continue to investigate and replace bushings and ball joints in the front until I find a resolution. I have 139k miles on the Z, now.
While in Wisconsin, I was able to put a full tank of non-ethanol premium gas in the tank, too. It's available at rural stations in WI
