Just curious...do people here use their 350z as a daily car?

I used to have a 240z back in the 80's. I loved the car. My brother used to have a 300zx that he put about 150,000 miles on. The Nissan Z has an incredible sports car pedigree...but it's not necessarily an exotic beast, but rather a car that seems to bridge the gap between performance and normal transportation needs.

I live in Kansas, though, and the weather can be a little unpredictable.

I'm looking hard at a 2004 roadster and I'm wondering when I would be forced to park it in the garage? Only on snow days? Never? All winter long?

I have a pretty cool Olds Delta 88 convertible...1975 model...and I like to drive it a lot when the weather is nice. But it's not that reliable on road trips or even in a hard rain. I'm looking for a car that I can drive MOST of the year...wouldn't mind driving my old truck when there is snow on the ground, but I want a car I can at least drive SOME in the winter.

Is a Z for me?

 

I personally wouldn't drive in the snow. With good snow tires, people do it for sure. The Z isn't everyone's garage queen

 

I DD mine every day but we don't ever get snow here. I hear of a lot of people putting snow tires on and DDing it without any problems.

 

Been through two winters, just make sure you have decent tires when the snow flies. Its no worse than most RWD in the snow. Just easy on the gas pedal cause we have plenty of TQ to go sideways.

Daily it...probably only have to park it on the worst days. We daily drive our vettes and have in the snow. Been 24 years since I drove a Z in the snow...I'm hoping not to find out this year with my new one!

What part of Kansas? We are in Northern Oklahoma and see more snow than ice...that's the part that will give you trouble in the Z or any other sports car. The other issue is how much snow...we had a couple of days here that there was no way the vettes would clear the height of the snow on the roads.
