Well, I have just over 1,500 miles on my car now.

So I am wondering what oil I should use for my first oil change? Should I switch to a synthetic (Mobile 1) this early in the cars life? Or what do you recomend?

a lotta ppl on this board have switched to synthetics for their first oil change. seems like it is popular. i changed to mobil 1 synthetic for my first oil change at about 2400 miles.

Guess I will switch to Mobile 1 at 2,000 Miles. Seems low, but not comapred to some people on this forum. I remember one guy did it at 1k? Not that it's a bad thing...

I changed mine at 500 miles. But I always change my new cars at 500 miles.

 

I got my first oil change at 3000 miles. The dealer service manager talked me into Castrol Synthetic. I normally use synthetic so the decision wasn't all that difficult.
