I guess while I'm at it, I would like an '06, but not newer since I hate the hood bulge the HR's have (even though everyone on this site will tell me I'm retarded and I know the HR is faster)

I like the color of your 350z with the right rims and some tint it will stand out big time. You should look at other 350z owners who have that color of car.

 

I love PPW. When I was in the market, it took awhile to find a PPW in good condition with low mileage in my area.

i love the color guys (it was my top 2 color choices) but i think i would be happier in a black Z instead... I don't know, i'm really just throwing the idea around...

 

I'd kill for PPW. I currently dont have a 350Z but im waiting for someone in my area to sell a PPW. For me it was either a MB or PPW (https://my350z.com/forum/2003-2008-n...hite-350z.html) but iv decided on PPW.

 

Why even bother asking this question? It's your car, it's your money - make the decision and just do it.

And no, you're not the first one. I've seen guys sell/trade coupes to get roadsters as well as one color for another.

youd probably take enough of a hit to justify just getting a paint job : P

take your car apart yourself if you want a quality paint job to be more affordable.

 

PPW FTW

Black is a PITA to keep clean and scratches are very noticeable. Personally i will try to never own a black car again.

 

If you've owned a black car before then great. However, if you haven't owned a black car I would think twice about it. Black is beautiful, but takes a lot of effort to keep looking really good.

Edit: Just realized that Chaser720 had already made this point. I'd also mention that I owned a beautiful black sports car before I bought the Z. There was a reason that Black was not on my list of colors I was looking for.

 

If you want to trade-up to a black 2006 (I assume with less miles) do it.

 

this thread has just gone to the PPW enthusiast really... i drive PPW and absolutely love it.

at times yes, i wished i had gone another color but i over come it. im also always in the air when it comes to wanting to trade the Z in for an STi or an EVO 10... but then i read some guys that bought the car went back...

its a constant battle... if you sit in your car and go "wtf am doing in this color?" then you might want to consider doing the trade.

thx for the input guys... in part, i feel like i want to get a newer Z and would have the option to change the color... I have never owned a black car so I don't know how hard it is to keep clean... My fellow PPW bro's, don't act like white is easy to keep clean either!!! Pollen in Florida was a B!TCH all summer long and showed up on my car so easily

 

Sounds like you have buyers remorse. We all have experienced it at one time or another.

I wouldn't trade for color though, I think you are over-thinking the situation.

 

it's not really buyer's remorse... the 350Z is my (currently attainable) dream car... I don't want a 370, I am in the position to upgrade to a newer, lower mileage 350 and I think I may be happier with a different color...

I guess i'm looking for some input from black Z owners who might be able to talk me out of or into this?? idk...
