Dealer wants to rotate tires instead of replace
How do I get a new set of tires like so many people on this site? I have some pretty good feathering at the outside edge of both fronts. I realize that rotating will not fix the problem, just like new tires won't, but on the TSB it just mentions checking Toe in as a minor detail, and offers no real fix. If there is no real fix, at least give me a new set of tires. I have 6,400 miles.

they roatated mine first then i brought it back a week later and they ordered me new tires
just bring up the fact that you might call NISSAN NORTH AMERICA
and see if you can get new tires from them.
they want like you going over their head ...makes the dealership look bad.
i willing to bet you will get a new set out of doing this.
if they still wont do it then call NNA
i had almost the same milage on my Z when i got new ones
i would insist they do it cause free tires is a good thing!!!!
i dont think there is a fix i got my new tires and alignment and it still drifts to the right a little
there is a compression rod that can be replaced. im having mine done at my next oil change just to be on the safe side.
but some people say it works others dont
i think its the combination of
not so good tires
too hard of a suspension
and a mysterious alignment problem all put together

That is good to hear, I read one thread that said they wouldn't do anything after 12,000 miles on the tires. Only problem is with all my track and autocross time, the tires don't have much life left in them to see feathering on the other side.
What expires at 12K miles is the warranty on the alignment, so they might charge you for one, but you can still get the tires. Mine went in ay 8K miles, and they said they were toast, but now they want me to bring it in to align... still dealing with it.
