After driving the G for a while, I can say I love the car.

Let me preface that by saying I am not a "car" person. I've never been to any car meets, never did any mods (intake, exhast, plenum spacers, wheels, FI, etc). The performance of the Z was good enough for me.

Ever since seeing the 350z back in '03, I had told myself I wanted one. Half the cars I have owned were stick and have were autos. Knowing the Z would be my first "sports" car, I knew I had to get the stick.
300 hp, RWD, 6spd, two doors and two seats... yeah, that is a sports car to me.

The G is a different car altogether though. Much more luxurious, but with similar grunt. And the sound. I will repeat that over and over, that the sound of the Z/G is amazing. I am so happy that the G still sounds awesome with its distinct VQ "growl" coming out of the exhaust.
I would probably have more fun if the car was a stick, but as already explained, this will be a car for myself AND my wife, not just for me. With a baby on the way, it at least gives us a second option for transporting a babyseat, whereas the Z did not have that option.

I did notice when the car is parked in the garage, how much longer it is than the Z. 12 to 15 inches or so?

I carry a 4 yr old and a newborn in my G37 no problem. My 4 yr old always likes to ride to school in my car since it's "faster" than mommy's.

The G is ok... Z is better but youre situation was leaning for the G but a sedan..your child will probably only fit in the rear of the G till hes 2.. So this is probably a temporary move for a couple years.

My boys are 11 and 7. They fit fine and are comfortable in the back.

Too bad the sedan is still faster than the G coupe

Doesn't bother me one bit. I like the look of the coupe better.

i've toated a baby around in my G. It's really not that bad getting them in and out.

You have to remember, this isn't the main transport for the baby, just a backup. For that reason i think it will be perfectly fine.
