Default Windows open themselves in heat!

I've had my Z 4 weeks - and twice now the windows have automatically partially opened while the car is locked. (The windows are not locked). I can't find it in the manual - but assume that if it gets too hot in the car - the windows automatically open. ??? The first time I thought I must have done it. The second time - I KNOW that I did not do it. Anybody know anything about this feature?

Seems fishy to me. What if its REALLY hot out... and raining? Not such a good feature then.

sounds like you mistakenly pushed the unlock button in your pocket, and thus they would open.

but since Im in GA and had it out for hours in 100degree temps, it is definitly not a feature as you described it.

Ares is right. Holding the unlock button for a while will roll the windows down

well i can tell you that the feature you describe is not there.... you musta hit the unlock on the remote by accident.

Out here in AZ the inside of my car has exceeded 155 degrees and they have stayed up.

My Z has a feature like yours.

I live in Florida and when I get in my car on a hot day I roll my windows down to help cool off the interior.

The interesting part is that when I roll the windows back up the passenger windows rolls back down half-way. It is a little annoying, but I can get the window to stay up by holding the switch when it gets to the top.

I'll be asking about this "feature" whenever I finally get over my phobia of the local Nissan Dealer's service department.

Thats not a feature! That because the window auto up safety switch is missaligned. Take to the service shop to get that fixed.

Thanks! I thought that some sensor or another was out of whack. Now I know what to say to the service guy.

OK - Thank you for the inputs. I wasn't aware of the "holding lock" feature. The second time it happened I was working in the area of the car - so bet I hit it, and held it, accidentally. That's a relief. Thanks!
