Default I once was lost, but now I'm found

My car has be MIA for three days. Can't even describe how bent out of shape I have been. Received a call this morn that they dropped it off this morning. I ask where the car has been for the last three days. Salesman replies oh, I didn't ask. I ask how many miles it has on it. Salesman replies oh, I didn't look. Then he says why don't you come get it tomorrow. Tomorrow? It takes the dealership an entire day to prep the car??? I once again tell him that I don't want ANYONE driving the car. But they have to drive the car. They don't come ready to drive. Uh...how stupid do you think I am?

Gets better. I tell him I need him to fax me a copy of the invoice with the VIN # and final purchase price. I ask what he has listed for that final price. Oh, he doesn't have it there. I tell him that on my sales invoice I received when I ordred the car, they forgot to deduct my $1000 deposit. He said are you sure they charged your charge card? I think I would recognize a $1000 charge on my statement. Then he has the ***** to say that I don't sound enthused. Gee, do ya think. He then asks me what time I'm going to show up tomorrow to get it. Well, I live 2 hours away and have to make arrangements for someone to drive me down. Not an easy task on a holiday weekend. He gives me crap because I can't nail down a time.

But it isn't over. Next I get a call is from the finance manager. Wants to know what rate I got and if I want him to look around. I appreciate the offer but don't act excited. He asks me when I'm coming down to get it and I told him that my salesman told me I couldn't pick it up until tomorrow. He tells me the car came in YESTERDAY. WTF??? I totally lost it and went off. I started and couldn't stop. Someone should have called me yesterday and told me my car wasn't lost. I shouldn't have been lied to concerning when it arrived. I can't believe the poor customer service I have received. I was the one telling them how to get order numbers and VIN numbers. I made all the phone calls. And you wonder why I'm not happy.

But let's put icing on this cake. They are now claiming that my original order invoice that THEY printed out and gave me has the wrong price on it. They now say I owe them an addition $728.50!!!! It is freaking writing! How can they do this.

Someone please help me!

He was making a joke, i.e. that all dealers try to screw people like this.

I still like the option posted a while back about telling them you'll just generally discredit the dealership. Tell them to figure out the price, or you'll call "Channel 5 Action News" and tell the local "Consumer Watchdog" about how that dealership screwed you.

Not many people are scared by lawsuits because they know those threats are hollow. I also know people on the other end of the stick, and they actually like hearing threats of lawsuits, because then they can transfer the issue to legal/management/etc and they don't have to deal with it anymore...
