I ran into this while watching something on streetfire.net. It was a review on the last 20years of nissan sport cars. First being the 300zx , 350z and current 370z. Now, some of you may disagree on what the guys are saying and some of you will agree but we are all open to our on interpretation of the cars. Over all i thought that they should of used the 07+Z to have a better chance against the 300zxtt and 370z. Comment on what you guys think.

A 300ZX with, say, 30,000 miles would be cool. But how many can we find? Not enough around for everyone. Besides do you want to be dealing with corrosion on a 30 year old car? Not a realist choice.

Lots of opinions here: feels like...looks like...sounds like. All interesting but terribly subjective.

Both drivers are in agreement with the 370Z. I have yet to push my 370Z hard with VDC OFF. Should be interesting.

lol. old guys stuck in their ways imo.

kind of pointless to sit there and ramble about their personal feelings towards a car. no tracks, no tests, no numbers pit against each other? :/

Ya, old people in there old ways. I think it was a tad biased.Plus if they would of felt the HR, i think they would of thought way different on how the car. Reason being sense that was the final version of the 350z,and the 300zx was at a rather final version.

^The 300 was a 1990, that car ran til 1996. Either way I would hope the 370 is better, if it was worse than the car it replaced that wouldn't say alot for Nissan. Also they said Nissan rushed the 350 out WTF. They had seven years to plan and, there was no other rear wheel imports to even compete so how was it rushed? They were just two guys with cameras talking their opinions are irrelevant.

Those kids are too bias to be critics. The one's sooo high and mighty in his 300 and the other seems sort of too awstruck to put each car into it's relative perspective of it's time period. Plus, they almost fight in the end. Childish

Well I'm pretty sure this was a us market review. Unless they were in japan driving jdm cars which they were not. I am well aware the cars were still made in japan and were pulled from here due to poor sales and Nissans looming financial issues. The 350z was not rushed and was well planned, japanese cars interiors aside from Lexus have been garbage up until the last 3-4 years. So I don't know why everyone keeps crying about that, also when you are comparing a boosted 300 to a NA 350 it is apples to oranges. The 350 went in a different direction than the 300, the only thing that is really comparable is the they have a Z on their bodies.

"...if it was worse than the car it replaced that wouldn't say a lot for Nissan."

The '85 300ZX I bought new was a LOT easier to get into and out of than the '08 I've got now, but I really can't blame that on Nissan.

Yeah they definitely didnt use the best Z33 to make the comparison...an 07/08 Grand Touring with the HR engine. But of course they had to use a 370Z fully decked up with Touring and Sport package, and a Twin Turbo 300ZX which was by definition the highest trim level. (Nevermind the fact that N/A Z32's were total dogs...even worse if they were 2+2's)

Entertaining but kind of pointless. They were/are all great in their own time.

Yeah, we had a huge thread about it. Pretty much what Brandon just said above is the truth. The test simply wasn't very even.

I have a 1993 TT 5sp with 80k- white, mostly stock except some brake upgrades and ACT clutch. I also have a 2005 35th aniv 6 sp- black, nismo intake/exhaust, 20 inch rims, JWT flywheel. I think the title of the video was which car is the best everyday driver... which the 2 hosts completely forgot.

I've driven the 370z and they are still too new for me to want to pay what sellers are asking, plus, I wasn't awestruck enough for me to want to trade in my 300zx and 350z for one... I hated the dead feel of the clutch, felt like it was overboosted for people who don't know how to drive stick. Someday, I'll have one in my garage, and if I get a warranty, the 370z Nismo will be my new daily driver. ( I also have a 1984 zx non turbo "aero" version, work in progress in my garage.. it needs the driver side window repaired and a paint job... possibly my new daily driver because of auto transmission )

I work in Seattle but live in Puyallup- that's a 50 mile, 1 hour plus commute 5 days a week. My favorite daily driver is my 350z. It gets the best gas mileage, has all the electronic toys to keep my mind occupied and is more comfy to ride in than my 300zx. Speed is relavent, both cars kick ***, but the reality is... sitting in traffic is sitting in traffic. Driving in the rain limits how fast you can corner and brake. Even when there is zero traffic, I can only cruise @ 70 because of the WSP. Both cars are comfy and pleasantly boring at cruise. But in the end, after a long day at work, on a cold rainy night, it does feel good to turn on the heated seats and relax.

In a race, I think my 350 would win, only because of the mods I've put into it... plus I think my turbos are getting old @ 80K miles.

I registered and posted my thoughts there. probably won't ever see a review from them again, but figured it was worth sharing.

I must agree with everyone saying this is a overly biased review. One thing I have always noticed about the 350z as far as reviews go, is that it seems alot of critic dont like it. But I gotta say... eff them! I love my 350! lol and isn't that what really matters?
