+1 on the doubtfulness of the story. I find it unlikely that a deer could do that much damage unless you hit it at a much higher speed than 35-40...

I don't belive you about the deer since you told a little white lie in the 17 year old thread about this being your only wreck

You guys must not see too many deer accidents thats nothing. What do you think happens when you hit a 200lb plus animal doing 45 mph. Especially on newer cars that are made to absorb impact. The damage actually isnt bad at all.

Hope the deer was okay.

Go do some rural racing in a Civic. Oh, and look out for those curbs.

Haha whatever guys it really is my first incident with the car ever in the two years I have been driving it. Also the deer wasn't just standing there in the middle of the road or I OBVIOUSLY wouldn't have hit it. Think about it. I am doing basically 40mph and the deer (it was a white tailed deer) can run up to basically 35mph. When I saw it, the deer was running from what I could tell almost at full gallop or whatever deer do lol. I really don't care if you don't believe me. If you don't ok please move along and lurk somewhere else but really I am asking a simple question. Should I go for a new N1 type kit or should I just get it repaired and save for some power or other goodies.

Oh p.s all the lights came on and the vdc wouldnt turn off after i hit the curb so I dunno if I hurt the LSD as well thanks!
i guess not because it looks more like your second incident with your car. plus you was already told what to do with the car: get it fixed and if you want aftermarket crap, you will be paying out of pocket for that.

I don't know how you can get all that rust so soon. No matter how hard it has been raining.

Go sand the paint and primer off a part of your body panel and see how quickly that rusts after sitting for a few days. I had the same stuff happen in the past when I hit a deer with a car. Usually takes a couple weeks, but it happens.

I've hit three deer in my time and that amount of damage is definitely not impossible. Both times in my Honda Prelude I needed a new quarterpanel, hood, and headlights. The damage amounted to easily $3-4k both times.

You should get this body kit:

It's on ebay right now for cheap. Makes your z look like a Mercedes.

that's what steel (or iron) do when they are left exposed to air and water...they rust. Happens quickly. It's only surface rust though, and sands off, though in this case the panel will need to be fully replaced
