Hi, I've bought a 2006 Base, and It came with a RIN instead of a VIN number. I got the CAR FAX report and it seems to be ok (no accidents). Anyone knows why they change the VIN in the state of California?? Please help!!

I'm talking about the RIN, not the VIN. And I've already google both of them.

 

It actually stands for Renewal Indentification Number.

edit: california is the only state that I know of that does this.
