If you bundle up properly I think top-down driving will be OK.

Where I live now (in WA state), I only drive it when there's no danger of snow since my tires have 0 snow performance.

Was living back in the SF Bay Area between from September 04 until September 09 and err, it doesn't snow there.

There are several used tire sites that sell them at a fraction of retail with good tread left on them. Dont risk driving it in bad weather. This is coming from a person who said how bad could it be.

I am def not driving mine with the stock summers. Unfortunately I don't have a garage to winterize my car but here in VA we rarely get any snow so it's not too bad.

Post up your snow driving pictures!!!

I had to abandon my Z on the side of the road near my parents house and stay there because I wasn't able to make it all the way to my apartment. It's stuck on the side of the road but I've been checking on it frequently to make sure no one has damaged it.

I drive my Z all year round, but I never take it out in the rain or snow.

"...but I've been checking on it frequently to make sure no one has damaged it."

Checking on it doesn't make it any safer to leave it there, so you're just wasting your time. If something happens to it, you'll probably spend some money to move it to a better place. The cost to move it will be the same, but the car will be messed up. Seems better to just go ahead and get it moved someplace where you won't have to worry about it.

The counties have commandeered 90 percent of tow trucks to clear vehicles from snow emergency routes. You might be able to get a tow on Tuesday. Good luck.

my z is stuck in the garage, right under the car cover for good reason. We haven't had much snow here in the tri-cities, had more freezing rain and ice than snow. It's good to have a back up vehicle no matter how good or bad the winters get.

BTW, this topic has been discussed to death. The 350z's been around for 7 years, you'd think numerous people have already asked this question.

I drive my Z through the winter and im on summer tires. Been driving on summer tires since 01 with my is300 for those who mite say im crazy..
Ive noticed alot off people dont use something called common sense here .
I wait until the roads are cleaned usually the day after the storm then drive. Getting a good parking spot is my only problem lol..
Whenever its snowing i just park it up... Ive never had an issues driving in winter with summer tires in almost 10 yrs..

After shoveling my driveway for over 2 hours could barely get any of my RWD cars out. My lexus is300 was the easiest need wife to drive while I pushed the 350z and the Trans Am. Got 20" of snow thankfully my wife has a lexus RX300 got around town in that with no problem.

Greensboro didn't get hit that bad. At least not as bad as they said we would. I tried doing donuts in the wife's minivan but the FWD wanted nothing to do with that.

What part of town are you in?

Road salt, ice, and mud on a black 3rd gen RX-7. The small rectangular patch of cleaner nose above the fog lights is where pieces of ice fell off that are on the ground in front of the car. Photo was taken at the Grand Canyon a few days before Christmas.
