Default Anyone knows anything about this Z (V2)? Need Opinions!!

Hi,

I was lookig this Z through the web. I was wondering if the previous owner is here, and can give me more information about tha car, because I've found little pieces of glass in the back (spare tire space) and it seems like it had had a crash. Besides, the consumption is 13 - 14 MPG. It's a 2006 Base!! Here are some pics and the plates (New Jersey)

PD: Notice that is a 2006 with tha front bumper of a '05!

That what I thought at first. Then they lend me a couple of days the car.

Even though, The front chasis looks intact. I considering it because I've analized every part of the car (direction is good, with original parts, wheels are good, etc). The back chasis also looks intact and the driving if very smooth, very light. What do you think??

Have a professional look it over (Rec. a Nissan tech, someone whose familiar with these cars), look up a car fax. See exactly what has been done to the vehicle. I dont care what anyone says, I see wrecked cars all the time, and no matter what gets fixed, a wrecked car will never act the same as new. Also, call up a dealer and check out the service history on the car. Anything ever done at the dealer should show up.

why did u put v2 in ur title is my first question..dont get that

and u found glass in the back and ur saying the front bumper isnt the factory bumper? maybe they used to have a different body kit or something and replaced it with something they found cheap....get a carfax and find out the history would be ur smartest bet...is it salvage or clean title? and why did u say consumption is 13-14 mpg? thats not right

i think the op thinks the wing is a V2, hence the title. im with the mod on getting a good deal or not getting it at all. def. get that thing inspected if u plan on purchasing it. there are plenty of 350 out there if your considering buying one

Hi, thanks for the answers. What keep me intrigue is that I got the CAR FAX report and it is a Clean Tittle, with no accidents. Now, what I don't understand is that instead of having a VIN plate on the pilot door, it has a RIN plate (Replacement Identification Number, it says) from the DMV California. And the number isn't the same as the one on the engine :S
BTW the hood is open.
I'm worried about this inconsistencies!! That's why I want to find the previous owner.

PD: it says "V2" because there was already a thread with that tittle from one week ago lol

Im one of those anyones you dont care about what I say. But my dad and I fix up salvaged cars here and there, and almost all of them turn out great (cant think of one that didnt). The Z probably has been the most trouble, since it has trouble codes and stuff still, even though it was a rear end collision and the codes are coming from the catalytic converters (probably has test pipes or bad high flow cats). Wrecks really can turn out very well...if done properly

Im thinking it has had no REPORTED accidents, but it has definitely been in a wreck or two and probably fixed on the side. The VINs dont match on my Z, guess why? It has a whole new rear clip (2 Zs put together basically).

The rear passenger quarter panel is all banged up. Look at the gas cap and where the bumper sits as well. PASS......get something where you are asking yourself the least amount of questions.

Have you repaired an expensive salvaged car before? Even if you buy it for 8k, figure to get it to perfect condition is another 5k. You wont sell it for much of anything since there are clean 04's for 12k. Also it's at a salvage yard with markings (means it's been inprocessed) and you're going to believe carfax?
