As a guy who's only drag raced all my life, I'm really looking forward to seeing what this is all about and what my Z can do!!!!

The part that surprized me is that there is something intense about every moment. You are either in a full acceleration mode, full braking mode, or cornering on the edge of losing adhesion. About the only time you actually have time to mentally rest for a second is when you are accelerating up to 100mph in the longest straightaway and coming up on a series of curves. Remember, that is the most boring part!

Trust me, entering a hard turn at that speed and trying to aim for a outside corner mark, brake and hit the mark within 6", then crank a hard left turn into the inside corner is not boring. You will love it and love how well your Z holds together at just the brink of losing traction.

I was even suprized how many times my helmet slapped up against the inside of my interior. The G force is significant, I just was not expecting it nor expecting the car could handle that well.

Remember guys, you need an approved Helmet and yes, you can bring someone to ride along as long as they have a helmet. We were doing it. After they ride in the car, a big smile is on their face. When I rode along, I actually got sick to my stomach from the jerking around. This whole thing might surprize you.

Looks like it's going to be a great time! Wish I could make it, but there's no way in hell I'd be able to take a Friday off during tax season.

Unless I win the lotto before then. Come on, it's just six numbers!

Have fun, I know you guys won't be disappointed with the experience.

add me and my 350Z to the list. I tried to send an email to the address listed at the beginning of the thread but it bounced back.

I WAS there on tuesday, nov 11, labor day!!

there were like over 10 evos!!!! and the funny thing was the beginer class drove the BEST cars..2 turbo supras, 1 turbo S2k, bunch of EVOs.

It was held my Digital racer or something...and it was only $90!!! unfortunately, i wasnt able to sign up, so i didnt race...nor drove my Z to the track on that day. I just went with my fd with his S2k.

overall, the track was nice, the weather was very cold..good for turbo cars...

I think I should be removed from the list as my Z was in a pretty horrible accident

Not sure if its totalled, or is going to be fixed yet, but it will take some time, and some more time to want to drive fast at all. ( No I was not going fast when I crashed, but I am affraid of corners now. At least for the time being... )

If I can make it when time comes, if I can bring myself to drive aggressivly, or if I even still have a Z, I will be sure to post here again to put my name back on the list.

Jsn350Z:

I took you off the list as you requested. I so want to stress that the reason to go to the track is to learn how to drive your Z fast (much faster than possible on the street) with control. After you track it, you will not feel the need to drive to fast and endanger yourself and others on the street. You may think you are driving fast on the street but it is nothing compared to the track, trust me on that one.

Sorry to hear about your accident. Hope you are ok.

If there is any doubt about the car being totalled, you definitely want it treated as a total loss. you don't want that car back. DO NOT USE THE INSURANCE COMPANY'S BODY SHOP UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

If the shop where it is wants to fix it, DON'T LET THEM TOUCH IT. Have it towed to the body shop of a Nissan dealer. They will write a very high and detailed estimate. Ask them if they would sell the car from their used car dept. after it is fixed. they should say no, then tell your ins. co. that.

YOU WANT A NEW Z, not damaged goods. Good luck.

Count me in. I ran at Willow Springs with my Z on 8/2/03 and had a great time. Will Speed Ventures be staffing the event?
