Regarding the Helmet, does it have to be fire retardant or can it be just your average motorcycle helmet?

If the helmet is approved to operate a motorcycle on ca. streets, it is good enough.

Carlos is organizing this event. I meet him when I went out in October at an SER club event. They are involved in hosting it with us. Watch out, some of those modded SER's would make a quicker track time than a stock 350Z. They are quicker than you think.

Carlos told me the track date is Friday, March 5th. When I get more information regarding registration etc, I will post it. I will also post directions, hotel options for those interested later, as the date draws near.

Just so you know, it is too expensive to reserve a weekend and this Friday date keeps the cost down.

Jeff. anyone that has track experienced willing to help the inexpereinced is great. It looks like both Jeff and I will be in the rear of the pack learning to keep up!

Please add me to the list. This is a good opportunity for Zers from Northern and Southern Cal to get together.

I just got an e-mail from Carlos who is organizing the track day. We are very close to posting registration information and as soon as he gives it to me, I will post it for you.

It looks like he will provide a webpage for us to do online registration when the time comes...Jeff - zland

I pasted the e-mail he sent me below FYI:

Hi Jeff,
Wow cool! We just got the date from exact date from WSIR, it will be MARCH 5th, 2003.

I'll have the registration page updated to reflect the date ASAP, &
begin online registration. I'll talk to Greg about sponsoring the
corner workers too. I'll let you know when you can begin posting the info. I will fwd you.

Thanks, for doing the leg work on your end!
CAG

Default To everyone going to track their Z on March 5th at Willow Springs.

Read the post SportZ magazine made below. You can go to their website and actually watch video of the track we will be driving on March 5th!

In addition, if you subscribe to SportZ magazine and get their issue just released, it will have an article describing the track and give pointers on where to enter and exit turns etc... This is great information to prepare you for our track day coming in March.

Jeff - zland

Video Exclusive: NISMO R-Tune, S-Tune track testing from Sport Z
Now available at www.sportzmagazine.com are test drive videos from Sport Z Magazine’s NISMO test at Willow Springs. Each video is a little over a minute long and features laps in a stock 350Z, the NISMO S-Tune, and the NISMO R-Tune. The passenger-seat view in the videos, with each turn highlighted, gives you an insider’s look of Willow Springs at speed in each of the three Zs, with final times noted. The last video is for hard-core racers and features driver Carl Merritt in the R-Tune after his “lesson” with champion racer Peter Cunningham, allowing viewers to compare “before Cunningham” and “after Cunningham” lines.

Please note: there is no commentary or exterior footage of the 350Z. The videos are intended to go hand-in-hand with our 8-page article in the Winter 2003 issue of Sport Z article (release date: Nov. 28). The feature includes a detailed description of the road course (including shift points, when to get on the brakes, etc.) as well as full analysis of each car’s performance.

All bark:

I put you on the list but did I miss something? Did Cheston or someone else mention something about a special discount on TS ECU that I am not aware of? How/where did you get that info?

Maybe this thing is getting bigger and better by the day and taking on a life of its own? Give me details, I am wondering what the deal is with the TS ECU flash....
