This Z came from Southern States Nissan of Apex. Apex is a suburb of Raleigh. It was NOT a pre-order although I do have one pre-ordered in Sanford. I posted a long buying experience thread if you care to hear how it all played out.

Your dealer is saying December huh? What does your pre-order card say?

yes, I will have that 3M clear bra installed. Ultrashield is the local company in Raleigh, the # is 919-850-9866. He should have a kit for the 350 by now. I live in Wilmington and will have him come down here to install. He quoted me ~$300 for all pieces installed, nose/partial hood/mirrors/headlights.

I think you might have the first Z in NC. Independence Nissan here in Charlotte said that the first of their preorders were coming in sept. 3rd. They did have a preproduction base daytona blue z at the dealer last weekend though. I can't wait to see some Z's driving around Charrlotte. BTW, who on this forum has ordered a Z and lives in the Charlotte Area?

 

Slareau, I ordered from the dealer in Sanford, but I actually live on Lake Norman. Got a touring le mans sunset on the way due on 10/2.

How does the 3M clear bra deal with being waxed etc? Is it virtually invisible?

 

I ordered a Z and live in Charlotte. But according to Superior Nissan, I'm looking at a Dec. Delivery date. They are getting their first delivery on Labor day I think.

 

ZMack, any idea what colors they have coming in? I cannot wait to check out the sunset and brickyard. I saw the 350 at the Atl auto show but am really looking forward to at least seeing those colors and maybe sitting inside.

Not really sure of the color selection. One salesman did say that they have a lot of PP white pre-orders.

who did you order from and when are you expecting delivery?

 

Depending what time on Friday you drove the Z off the lot.. my Z might have been the first one in NC. I drove up from Atlanta to the Mountains on the NC-Georgia border near Dillard, GA mid-day Friday, and it just so happens the road I took crossed into NC in two sections. (Ok it was for maybe a 2 mile section of road.. but it still counts)

So unless you were on the road before 12:30pm Friday... I'm afraid you weren't the first in NC.

Though you were probably still the first one PURCHASED in NC.. which is still something.
