i went to a dealer today and heard the biggest bunch of **** in my life. the dealer did not have a clue of what he was talking about.

me: i am interested in a Z, prolly enthusiast

salesman: umm those are hard to find

me: really (what the hell are you talking about)

salesman: you will have to wait 6 months to get one

me: i thought it was less than that

salesman: no this is a very very rare car you know

me: mmmm hmmmm (sick of this dealer ****)

me: so what price are you willing to give it to me for

salesman: 30000 with tax tags frieght

me: dont you think thats a little high

salesman: like i said this is a rare car what can i say

me: i am ready to buy one right now if you give me a good deal

salesman: yea i can go only two hundred under that

me: thats not much

salesman: i mean lemme try to go lower but this is as low as it goes ( BS)

me: wwaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk hahah peace

did all of you have to go through this **** before you actually met a dealer worth talking too if so can you recommend me some in the northern virginia are. AROUND DC mostly

 

Go see how the Infinte guys treat you. The G35 Coupe is sweet i'm sure you know. I bet they could even find you a '04 Z too.

I had a simular experience when I was first looking at the Z. I am not one to point fingers (ADVANTAGE NISSAN 300 GULF FREEWAY SOUTH, LEAGUE CITY, TX. 77537) but, these idiots were rude and were treating me like I didn't know what I was talking about when in fact I knew more about the car and the sale of the car then they did. Anyways, I was looking for a Base model or the Enthusiast model and the sales guy with the sales manager(his boss) standing right beside him actually told me, "you cannot order a base model, you can only order a Touring or Track model." I kid you not. He even told me, "it is impossible to order a Base Z". I almost called to NNA to make a complaint over it. I told them I have been to many Nissan dealerships in Houston and no one has yet to inform me of this ******** that is coming out of your mouth. They just looked at me with some kind of discust. "I am trying to buy a Nissan, not a freaking Ferrari here fellas". I did finally find a dealership with a sales staff that did there job professionally and did not B.S. me at all. Anyways, just go to another dealership. You will find one eventually with people working there that have brains.

 

See thats what i am talking about, there should be laws on how cars are sold. HAHA But seriously i love the Z but if i keep getting these weird prices then i might have to go for another car. But i am trying my hardest to find an enthusiast for like 28-29 thousand with all the taxes and stuff. What do you all think is that reasonable?

 

You can find an enthusiast model for 28k. I mean, that is how much they are supposed to be sold at. But after tax, title, and license your probably looking at 30+. Just keep looking at every dealership in your area. And actually go to the dealership and look. One hint is that once a month a new shipment of cars is recieved at the dealership. Usually that does include a few Z's. Easiest thing to do is find out when the recieve date is for each dealership and go the next day or two later and ask what they got and see what is on the lot. They usually take a day or two or more to dealer prep (wash) the car before it is on the lot for sale.

 

Yeah, Salesman are idiots. When I first went in to buy my Z, in November, the saleman told me they had a DB Enthusiast. I told him I was looking to get one and DB was the color I wanted. I told him I'd think about it and get back to him, because he was going to screw me with the price. I call him back the next day, ready to purchase the car, and the same salesman tells me he sold it already....in less than 24hrs time. So I'm pissed off to no end, and he informs me there's a CS Performance model available now. A higher model at a higher price he says. Well, needless to say I went off and told him the only way I would buy the the Performance was if I got it at the Enthusiast's price.....Well, it worked. 30K even, out the door.

 

Yo,,go to Carmax Nissan in Whitemarsh. Its far from VA but they have no hassle prices on 2003. Im not sure for 2004..but I say 1000 off msrp for enthusiast or base should be standard.

If you need a G35,,go to Steve Lee in Elicott City Md...He will give you one of the best deals on that car you can find.

Did you guys know that our car actually have more than 300hp? Nissan purposely lower the figure to 287 so we can get cheaper insurance. You know, there is this thing that if a car has more than 290hp, the insurance rate takes a hike.

Tell the salesman this:

If you can dyno a stock Z at over 300 hp I will pay double for it. But if it dynos under 290 then I get it for free. Put up or shut up.

Some of these dealerships you almost have to fight them to buy the damn car. They act like they don't want to sell you the car or your money is no good. I know a guy who was trying to buy a new Infiniti FX45 and it took him over 3 months just to purchase the thing. And it was all the dealerships fault. No call backs, he is busy, no one is available, ect, ect, ect. I bought a civic a few years back and I remember getting pissed off and leaving work to drive to the dealership and getting into my salesman face and not leaving till it was a done deal. It was one of the most redictulous car buying experiences I have ever had. Practically had to get on my hands and knees and beg and plead to buy a damn CIVIC!!! hahaha, And it was an EX model, not even an SI.

 

Yea man, its wierd someone should make a complaint about these damn dealer people. Seriously half of them have no idea about the car, they think its a ferrari or something. Unbelievable, another question!!! how come dealerships dont have 350z's readily available and i understand sometimes they have to order a car but why 5 months i bet lamborghinis are delivered faster than that.

 

Every dealer will tell you that they can order for you but its no guarantee. They have a certain amount allocated to them depending on monthly sales. So your order can be back logged for months...When they tell you, oh I can find you but it will cost you and that bs...dont EVEN ORDER.. In fact dont' even order from any dealership.There are so many dealerships in the tri-state area.....just check the nissanusa.com site and they have more 2004 models. I did alot of leg work by going to and calling like 10 dealerships within 50 miles..some will back up their price on the phone but most will add crap on or switch quotes everytime..

DONT go to passport nissan upper marlboro or darcars

Thanks called the dealer talked to mr. williams very nice. Lowest he said was 28,300 not bad. Thinking about ordering from him.

 

Thats MSRP? well...$50 under. I think you should shop around more.
