Exclamation Warranty

Just bought my use 04 ZR this past thursday i declined to buy the extended warranty because i still have the state law warranty whenever someone buys a use car from a dealer of 30days 10k miles whichever comes first.I just notice when i shift from 4th to 5th it sometimes lags and when it is in 5th its harder than normal to take it out of 5th.Planing on changing the tranny fluid to see if it eliminates the problem. My main thing is can i go to any nissan dealership and buy an extended warranty and is it worth it?Thanks

Take it back to the stealership if you have a state warranty. And no its not worth buying the extended warranty IMO, just take care of the car.

just flush the fluid, that should help a tad bit. had a similar problem with my 03 going into first, changed the fluid and made it better (not gone, just improved)

Flush fluid asap and go from there. If that takes care of your problem then superb, if it doesn't then warranty time

was it the shift plate? I just read about this in another thread but the car was an 07. The shift plate(not sure?) was messing up the 5th -- 6th shift

Dont Buy an Extended Warranty!! I took some idiot's advice on this board before I bought my car and took the warranty. The warranty is to expensive and besides its a ***** to get anything covered by it, when you actually really do have a problem. You are better off keeping that money and spending it when you do have a problem. Besides the Z is a pretty reliable car.

Your right you literally have to break it apart before the dealer gives a yes.I didn't buy an extended warranty I'm still on the state law warranty of 60days 3k miles.Hope our cars last for a long time!
