Well hit some salt and slid off the road in my 07, probly little over 10k in damage. Im debating on installing my mastergrade widebody kit i have sitting in storage but i figured i would get some input on here. My only issue will be that i will have to just space my work meister s1. I will look into the askua 07 hood and hatch with double hump roof overlay.

well whats the alternative, get a lot of expensive repair work done then do the body kit anyways? repair the car and sell it? lol.

not sure what you are asking. it sounds like that kits going on sooner or later. might as well be now.

 

Will your insurance company pay to install the kit?

 

well i got one of the last mastergrade was putting out thu showstoppers back few years ago, i was thinking about selling the kit. but if i do it insurance will pay for most of the install, my plus on the whole deal is im the bodyman at the shop its being repaired at so ill get paid to work on my own vehicle. i can just take the cash for the parts the bodykit will replace and put that towards the carbon fiber panels or possibly wheels if i can sell my works for a decent penny

 

also, if i do the kit im debating on going with solar orange or the color of this lambo...

 

definatly do the kit if your the guy doing all the work and cashing the check in the end. Not so sure about color thought but its your car.

 

well its not that i cash a check, but i wont be out of pocket and ill get paid at my job normal so win win i guess.

and on color, im just kicking ideas around, i had it photoshoped and looked clean but open for opinions... its hard to choose cause it will need to have an exotic look imo with such an extravigant kit

IMO, WB kits are really stupid. i mean, think about what you're doing. "i think i'll widen the appearance of my car by 2-6 inches." i dunno, i guess im a hater, but 90% of body kits are too damn ricer and overkill. ESPECIALLY widebody kits. just keep it simple and retain the original Z lines.

 

If that's the body (style) kit in green do it. It's nice looking, and of course your color. I like the "super Black" look. But to each his own, so pick your color. Any more kits around, does anybody know?

 

Do the body kit, might as well since the install and labor will basically be free now, and it will come out quality since you are doing the work yourself.

I hate those baby blue colors though, sorry, I think they are feminine. Before you ever paint your car, ask yourself: "Is this a feminine color, or would it belong in a newborn babies room?" If the answer is yes, don't paint your car that color, unless you're a chick.

Go look at exotic car dealerships in person to view colors I say. Pick one that is classy, yet stands out. Lexus, Audi, Ferrari, Lamborghini, and a few others have very nice colors.

seen the green monster z at Zdayz in 08 and it looked pretty good. His wheel/tire set up is INSANE. I say go WB with that midnight purple.

 

Id stay away from a wide body kit for the simple fact the amount of bodywork involved in most cases all panels used to mount the kit on will have to be replaced once you decide you dont want it anymore. So the $ involved bodywork the 4k in new wheels plus the $ it would take to bring the car back to a stock bodied z.

 

Not really just wait till its time to renew his policy dude your premium is going threw the roof. I was in a similiar sit my ins damn near doubled 2.5 years ltr its just starting to drop again. Thats not anywhere near 10k in damage.

 

someone did that on a super clean beautiful g35, and all everyone did for 8 pages was bash it. i like it but yeah

 

saw that green Z at nopi nationals a couple years back and it was one of the best looking cars ive ever seen!!!! picture does do it justice, should be seen in person.
