I responded to your question in my thread on Saturday, but look like you missed it.
I live in Round Rock (North of Austin) but with Austin address. Southpoint is 45 minutes from my house, so I can't just swing by to find what's in their lot. I am glad some other folks live near by and help you out.
My VIN showed up on Southpoint inventory on Tuesday (8/27). Art told me that mine will definitely be there that day (mine was scheduled for 8/26 delivery). However, only 3 of the Z were delivered around 8:30pm that day, mine wasn't one of them. The next morning (8/28) I called Steve David and told him about my dissatisfaction with inaccurate information. I asked him to get me real and accurate info. ao I don't have to sit around and wasting my time. He called me back within an hour and told me that he talked to Nissan and my vehicle delivery was moved to 8/28 (the same day I talked to him). I asked him about exactly what time the truck leave the Dallas distribution center and how far the truck from him dealership, he didn't know and promised to get me the info. He assinged Rene to keep in touch with me. but they can't get anything out of Nissan all day. My car didn't show up on 8/28 either, eventhough Steve David was told by Nissan. I called Rene the next morning, 8/29, and was told that Steve David is on the phone with Nissan and demanding explanation. No news all day until my car just showed up around 3:00pm.
So it took 2 days from the time my VIN showed up to the time the car showed up. I just met another 350Zer at work who bought his from Temple dealer (North of Austin), he told me that his took 2 days also.
Which day your VIN showed up on Southpoint inventory?

Update
Well gang, here's the latest. NOTHING!!!!!!
After on e more call ia an attempt to get info, I was stalled yet again. Here's a brief synopsis:
Thursday Aug 22: talked with Art, bought the car at msrp, received my contract, listed price with options( 5 sp auto) and delivery
8/26/02.
Friday Aug 23: talked with Art again firming up plans to arrange pickup. Waiting for car.
Monday Aug 26: talked with Art, where's the car????
Tuesday Aug 27: talked with Art, where's the car???? Will be here anytime now. I start arranging trip to Austin this Saturday.
Wednesday Aug 28: talked with Art, where's the car???? Nissan confirmed delivery today sometime. Continue with arrangements to travel to Austin.
Thursday Aug 29: talked with Art, where's the car???? Should be here today, I think. It's MIA, we don't know where it is. Our updated sheet shows today as a delivery date. I beg him to call me back before 4:30 with any update so I can cancel reservations in time to receive a refund. He promises he will. No call, lost money, cancelled reservations too late. He offered to refund my money rather quickly(seems a little premature at this point). Asked him again to please call back before he leaves to go home so we can talk about alternate plans if necessary. No call.
Friday Aug 30: called Art, it's his day off. I guess he forgot to tell me. Car showed up in inventory, but....it's a manual instead of auto. Called again and talked with Eon...he says Art must have made a mistake??? I ask...will ypu please call me with any updated info before you leave??? No call.
Saturday Aug 31: talked with Eon. No news or updates. Will you please call me later after talking with manager I ask??? He says I will be here till 8:00 and I WILL call. No call. I call back at 7:55, he and Art are both gone already. Talk with Renee, he promises to get update and call me back right away. No call.
Monday Sep 2: talked with sales manager, told him about the last 4 or 5 days. I ask him to please check on delivery and call. He absolutely promises he WILL call no matter what. No call.
Now I'm pissed. I hope they all sleep well tonight because tomorrow I will be reaming asses from Austin to Alabama. This is total ********. They ALL know I am sitting here with a trailer waiting for any info to help me make plans. My travel time is limited due to my schedule. Since Thursday, I have not had ONE frickin update about anything!!! Soooo, it's now too late for me to make any alternate plans this week. Hell, it may be 3 or more weeks before I can ever make it back there. Did I mention I was pissed. Tomorrow is hell day for those bastards. It's now a matter of principle. So far I am out $300 bucks(not worth explaining). My car is still MIA. And South Point sucks hind T#T!

Dude..... All I can say is "tear into some ***....". Them giving you the run around like that is total BS. I'd be down there scaring off potential buyers if they pulled that **** with me. Nothing like walking into a show room full of potential buyer 'loudly' voicing displeasure with customer service.
All I know is if my car is not here when they said it would be they'll be hate'n my *** by the end of the month.
