tires ftl.

Get winters if you want to drive the Z in snow. Considering you're american and I had a friend with similar damage to yours, it cost him 3800$ canadian.

I think you can get it done for 3.5 np if there isn't too much frame damage.

Price of the best set of snow tires on those rims is what... 800ish$ for 225-45-18?

Get them if you want to take that guy out in the snow.

*shrugs* If you say so.

If you have driven a Z in snow w/ winter tires vs w/o, your perspective would probably be different.

There wasn't a day in probably a far harsher Canadian winter last year I wasn't out in my 03z... never encountered any type of issues regarding traction as you have described...

Then again, I don't do 20mph exiting parking lots heh.

GL, keep us updated.

OP, don't feel too bad. People here in California slide into something at 20 MPH at every start of the rainy season.

If its an 03 and the damage is 4k theres no way an insurance company will fix cosmetic, structural or not

wow that sucks man i'm so glad i don't live in Western Pa anymore, especially right NOW with all that snow you guys have had. I went thru my ins when i ripped my front bumper off and it was $1600.00. If you fix it yourself it will be less but i think that would be harder to repair than my piddely bumper. Glad you didn't get hurt bud.

Just got the estimate. $4100. The shop said it was about 35% of the cars value, not even close to totaling it for future reference. He said State Farm usually totals around 75% or so.

Quarter panels cost about $450, cause there was some high guesses on that.

I trust this body shop. i had work done there before and the paint matching they did was unbelievable. There are a few places on the Z already that you can tell it was repainted. The dealership did a crappy job. I'm guessing they did it to get the rock chips out. You can tell under certain light but to the average person they will never know the difference. Im not going to stress, its not a show car.

It's called color blending, if done right, with just looking it, you'll never be able to tell the difference.
