Ehhh stillen
During these tuff economic times most companies are competing for business more so than usual so on top of discounting they offer free shipping. So i decided to order a product and searched around for the lowest price so stillen came in the lowest plus they offer free shipping so after i filled out everything they charge a $10 handling and insurance fee. yes it is only $10 but more about principle advertising free shipping then charging a handling fee. So heads up so you guys dont waste time filling out everything. After emailing them they offered to take off the $10 insurance but they would not be responsible if i receive my order broken or at all even

Opposite end of the spectrum is we could have just charged you freight on the product, but instead we've opted for a program to pay for your freight, and charge $9.95 for insurance and handling on the entire order.
Whether you ordered a full cat-back exhaust system, roof wing, front fascia, suspension items, or ALL of these things, the $9.95 would have been your only freight line item. Customers have saved hundreds on a single order alone.
I'm sorry you didn't see this on the checkout screen, and happy we were able to catch this before your order shipped.

Yes josh but as a customer buying a product why should i have to pay insurance once i place an order it should be the merchants responsibility to get it my door meaning if i receive a broken part or not at all why is that my responsibility if your offering free shipping. Yes i agree with you when a customer buys a large order or multiple items but what about the customer that doesnt when he/she places order because of the free shipping

DURO78, WTf are you babbling about?? I was talking about the product line Stillen carries. If you want the best, it costs more, better products & a few more $$$ in shipping. If you can't pay the price go whine somewhere else.
Maybe you can get free shiPPing on eBay.

When we went to this program a couple of years ago, at the BEGINNING of the economic decline, it was to work a program that would be beneficial to our customers, and save them money, and it's been well received.

Again duro78, I do apologize for the inconvenience, and obviously the miscommunication, which is mainly the problem. I'll look into some ways we can make the free shipping program details more obvious.
The last thing we'd like to do is misrepresent. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

When I was in the industry, these are the type of customers you just didn't want. Complain about every little thing. wants Campaign on a beer budget. If he would have placed an order where i work and complained about the 10 buck in handling fees, I would have just canceled the order. They normally call back as soon as they get the package about something looking funny. then call back again to warranty the part after the car was in an accident. I wish they had free shipping when i bough everything they made for the 01 Maxima I had. Goes to show why the call 350z guys the new 240z people. And 240sx people the new Civic.

I would not be able to handle customer service jobs. Low ballers like you drive me f'ing wild. Stop using the economy as a god damn excuse. You should not be buying f'in car parts if you are hurting for money. If you can get the same bang for the buck elsewhere then go elsewhere. Wow. you have to pay 10$ instead of a lot more for the shipping and it's still fully insured and shipped in an efficient manner. boo f'in hoo. I paid 14$ to ship a dude a f'in bumper emblem earlier, paying 10$ for much larger items is nothing.

$10 OP.....really?
You have a 350Z ....are ordering aftermarket parts for it....and are Bi**hing about $10 for insurance to ensure you get what you get in the quality you should get it in.
I wouldn't do business with people like this and be more than happy to send them back on their way. You're not happy...there's nothing I can do to make you happy...goodbye.
Stillen reps are just trained too nice.

Some vendors around here could learn a thing or two about customer service from Josh at Stillen. I don't agree with the OP and I would imagine Josh doesn't either, but he handled it very professionally.
WTF is Campaign?
