Default Kick plates on it

Sorry about the stupid question, but are the kick plates on this black Z just the regular ones because it sure doesn't look aluminum to me? I thought the Z logo would only be on the aluminum kick plates not the regular ones. Thanks.

Is there supposed to be a picture or link with your post?

The standard ones are just black plastic with a silver "Z" in the center. Very plain looking.

The upgrade is a nice aluminum insert in a black framework.

I plan to buy some now that I've seen them in person.

Default I recall seeing photos of no frame....

on the aluminum upgrades. And, I heard that the framed aluminum kick plate was only on the pre-production cars. I recall some people being somewhat upset with the change.
From photos I actually like the standard black kick plates better. However, again I recall hearing reports that the standard kick plates showed wear very easily. So if that happens I will then upgrade with aftermarket kick plates.
Hope this helps.

Yes, the kick plates can be dealer installed. You could probably do it yourself if you have any mechanical apptitude.

Kick plates are the protectors for the door sills. All cars have them. Kick plates are just another name.
