The other day I was driving in my New Beetle and a dump trunk started unloading a few large hunks of gravel, two large pieces smacked the windshield incredibly hard (I heard it over my music, lol) I was a little afraid of the damage...but nothing. My fiance was incredibly surprised, I was much relieved.

Mine cracked all the way across the windsheild driving to work this morning. I got nailed by a good size rock that was spit at me by a damn 16 wheeler! The impact scared the crap out of me! Looks like I will have to get a new windsheild now.

I get occasional rock hits, and they're typically pretty impressive. The gunshot-like sound wakes me up if I'm driving sleepy.

I have one small chip in the windshield, but no real cracks yet.

I have two in my 1996 Accord.

The chips in the bumper are too many to count.

Glass is glass, i don't think nissan uses any type of inferior glass, it just happens when your on the highway at high speeds. just avoid driving behind large vehicles, not only will it save your windshield but also the chips that occur on your hood and front bumper.

I've driven mine for 8000 miles, no cracks, no divets, no anything.

Default Crack FIX

I purchased that film that NASCAR racers use on their vehicles. You know when they peel it off the window after every pit stop.

Works wonders!
