Default 30+ hp

Has anyone else looked at the new 5zigen exhaust for the Z? What I read was it should produce 30 or more hp at the wheels when it's released. It's the same exhaust that is in the 5zigen wheel advertisement in the new Super Street. The one Titanium tip might take some getting used to, but who cares if it's accually going to produce those kinds of numbers. What do you guys think? Has anyone else heard anything about it.

Also does anyone know what kinds of numbers that RS*R is claiming from thier new exhaust (the one with the muffler at the y-pipe, I think, and dual straight pipes out)?

I asked 5zigen Japan and they told me to expect 10 hp at the wheels but major weight savings.
I like the design but that exhaust will be loud.

Just curious. What are you basing this claim on??? That would be a 10-12% gain at the wheels...

high flow cats / straight pipes / well designed exaust can put out 30 HP when used in combination with other engine mods...

something alot of people forget with mods... they ususally post peak performance numbers.. and they usually get that number from that parts used with other parts...

you can put headers and an intake on your car and not make much horse power... but as soon as you open up the exaust with high flow cats and a free flowing exaust system you will then see the effects of the intake and headers...

To be honest, I think the Z would look odd with just one exhaust tip.

Yeah, and I think it would look even more odd with three exhaust tips.

Default Didn't it lose hp?

Didn't Sport Z Magazine report the 5Zigen as being the only exhaust system to actually "Lose" hp when they did their "Dyno Shootout"?

So where are they (5Zigen) getting this 30 hp gain from??

What if they're square tips... wouldnt that go with the 3 squares theme??

Dual exhaust tips on each side and a woowoo tip in the middle.

Ok, maybe not.
