Just got 19X10J 30+ front 19X11J 25+ rear RE30. I'm wondering if anyone is running 285/30/19 tires in the front. I read Andy@Performance's thread about 19X10J 30+ fitment, and he doesn't recommend anything wider than 265, but I would like to know if anyone actually tried to fit 285.. If not, I might be the first... So, let me know if it's a waste of time... Thanks in advance.

That is probably the perfect width/offset to fit max tire width. If you are willing to run a decent amount of negative camber I think it would easily work. I'd probably go with a 275/30 because the diameter is closer to stock and would give you a little extra clearance.

Yeah I was told they would fit but another member said I would suffer from bump-steering with a front tire that wide. I'm just curious how bad the bump steering will be though. I wanna go 19x9 up front but I don't want my tires stretched and want alittle cushion on the side so I wanna run 265/30 or 275/30. But I did alittle reading on bump-steering and I don't want to have too much of that.

Bumpsteer is more is more caused by improper aligment, high neg camber, and to high of an offset.

bumpsteer has nothing to to with the width of the front tires whatsoever. Bumpsteer is directly related to suspension geometry. And yes a 285 up front will make for a little heavier steering wheel, and an upgraded power steering cooler may not be a bad idea in this case. For autoX i run a 285/30/18 kuhmo v710 (slick) up front on an 18x10.5 (+15 offset) and it makes my steering condsiderably heavier. I upgraded my powersteering cooler as well
