The "Devil's Advocate" or as some of you know my last post about my wacky 666 VIN#. Crazy or not, I love this car regardless of its VIN.
Anhow, I finally picked up my Z at Waco Nissan on Friday!! Wow, incredible looking car! In fact, I am screaming to drive it more but I couldn't since had to take my fiance from Austin to Dallas to pick up her wedding dress, it wouldn't fit in the back of the Z. Bummer!! AH!
I have tried not to break the 4000 RPM limit, but it is very hard. This car wants you to go faster!! Also, I have noticed that the Owner's Manaul did not indicate how fast you can actually drive during your break-in period. Anyone know? Also, those of you that pick up your Z, please check your REV limiter light that lights up when you need to shift and set it to 7200 RPM or higher. Otherwise, (mine was set to 3000) you will be taking your 1st drive with that damn thing blinking every second. It distracted the hell out me and I had to pull over and get the manual to figure out how to turn the darn thing off. Just my two cents.
Also, I have a question for those of you that have the touring model. On my dealer price sticker, it indicates that the Touring Model is equipped with VDC and TCS. The Owner's Manual (Chapter 2) also indicates that there is a VDC and TCS on/off switch. HOWEVER, when I look on my car, there is only a VDC on/off switch with a BLANK button next to it on the left side where the hood release and gas tank opens. Anyone, have the same issue. My guess is that somebody goofed in production and forgot to put that TCS button in. Or am I mistaken, I am waiting to call Nissan Monday/Tuesday when they open to find out more. Can anybody out there that already has their Z validate this for me.
Well, this car is just plain simply incredible, it is definitely an attention grabber, EVERYONE just turns their heads and gives the thumbs up!! You guys are going to love it, I just can't wait until my break-on period is over, 800 miles left and counting.........
Will post picks later today or tomorrow of my Z. Chrome Silver, Touring with NAV.

I too have the Touring with VDC but no TCS button, I didn't check my Monronie label to ensure that it's suppoed to have it.
Have you been accidentally turning the heated seats on with you elbow? It's 95 degrees outside and I keep warming my buns.

Hehe, thats funny. Yes, its funny that you mentioned that, when I was following my fiance and taking turns driving our new Z home, she hit the button with her elbow and her buns were frying in the 98+ heat. It's a little annoying but you get used to it.

I don't understand why everyone keeps saying that it has been so hard to keep under 4000 RPMs. On my Stealth, I go 25 MPH at 4000 RPM's in 1st, then 45 in 2nd, 85 in 3rd, about 110-120 in 4th and I won't mention 5th.
Obviously it has to do with the gearing and the fact that the Z has 6 gears as apposed to 5. But is it really that hard to keep under 4000 RPM's?
Unless those that say this are referring to doing 0-60 or quarter mile runs.
