Hey guys, I am a proud owner of a 2006 Nissan 350z 6 speed coupe. It has about 38k miles on it and I am also a proud owner of a built 300zx Twin turbo (still getting built as we speak). I've been a proud Z supporter for #1 that it was the best sports car to come from Japan since they were first imported here.

Anyways I have a quick question, My friend has an 07 bone stock 350z and he wants to run my 06. Both are 6 speed. I know his has 6 more hp, and 8 lbs more of torque. I have been searching and searching and searching all over google and over forums and finally decided to say ***** it and post. I know the HR motor has power all the way threw from low end to top end while the 06 gets power more around mid-range. Question is exactly What do I NEED to take him? Or atleast be able to put up a good race, I am not trying to underestimate my car but I know we are both good drivers and we were going to try from a roll and from a dig. Any ideas? Would a basic intake do?

Also you should of bought the HR. 1. you didnt search 2. in for pictures of this so called build 3.your dumb for street racing if that is what your going to do. 4. Search. 5. you forgot youtube :/. Full bolt-ons just short of headers. This is, of course, if you are of equal driving ability.

 

cold air intake, catback exhaust and add headers, you can do. Headers is the extra little boost for you.

 

What you need is to adjust your attitude and get your priorities in order.

Whatcha gonna prove by racing him? I haven't raced anyone since I was a kid with a bicycle, and I've been managing to hold my head up just fine since then.

Matter of fact, I'd say that avoiding such juvenile antics after I became an adult helped quite a bit in getting me in a position where I could retire at 46.

I've read things on certain upgrades make you lose hp etc etc. And came to conclusion that a "z tube" and filter will give slightly better gains, just thought I'd ask if anyone has done slight mods to their 06s and were able to pull on hrs on drag and from a roll that is all I didn't ask a question like "what's a Z?" lol just figure someone would have a slight compansion for a new Z33 owner. And for the person who said pics of my build , for what ? What's that got to do with my question? If it really aggrivates you because you're trying to judge my knowledge on Zs all together they're 2 completely different cars. The ignorant and useless replys may of been deserved but even mustang owners when I owned a mustang and was trying to slightly mod it were more helpful than this wow...
