I sent my car in for all new synchros (a chronic problem for 03s) and i get her back tonight! I cant wait to shift without grinding! Hope they didnt leave any handprints on my Brickyard...

where'd you get the work done? How many syncros were replaced? and how much did it cost (if you don't mind me asking).

Sorry for all the questions. I have a 5th-6th gear grind, which is pissing me off. Nissan should replace all the '03 transmissions =)

 

i got mine replace and after 40k man nissan's manual trans is so subtul, or notchy. you know what i mean??
I got mine replace due to 3rd/5th grinding; my new one doesn't grind anymore but just so notchy and noisy

 

you would of just been better off buying a used 009 tranny

 

I got all 6 done because i had to go to the dealer 3x and thy kept pullin sh*t like it wasnt under a drivetrain warranty. So they're paying for all of it, it's about a $2,800 job that i got for free. I also talked them into using my tranny place so i know its done right.
My main problem was 3rd, then 5th started to get a little edgy.
My car also has 52k on it...
