Honestly, why is everyone so damned pompous when it comes to stick shifts and the 350Z? It's like you have a nicely modified Z or G35 with an automatic, and all you get is a bunch of faceless trolls saying cap like "ZOMG, you gots teh slushbox, lolz, you are teh suck! I am so much more manly than you because my car has a stick shift!" I mean honestly, why do so many people have to be such haters?

For the record, I like my manual vehicles to have two wheels as opposed to four. I may drive an automatic car, but at least I have the ***** to be something other than a cager when I go out for recreation. Since when did it take ***** to drive a stick shift anyways?

Defensive much?

To use your motorcycle comparison - it's like having an automatic sport-bike. It's still kind of cool and fun, but it could be much better.

Automatic sportbike, what? I didn't know such a thing existed, a better question would be why would such a thing exist. My R6 is a manual, as with virtually all sportbikes.

Yes, why would an automatic sport-bike exist? The same question can be applied to sports cars.

You've never driven around LA before, haven't you?

Cars aren't toys.

I'm with JJ350.
I don't get it. Why is this issue such a big deal to some people anyways?

"ooh look im a M/T driver, see me row through gears u g@y A/T pos!" lame. It doesn't even take much effort to learn and drive a M/T! My first car was a M/T and got a A/T when i bought the Z. Again what's the big deal?

At the Circuit/ AutoX i've spanked some DSG's, Porsche carrera's, and other M/T cars using my almost-stock Z. So what's the big deal about driving an M/T??? lol. fken haters.

the only time you will be needing a M/T is when u go drifting imo.

Your doing exactly what there doing you said at least you have the ***** to ride a bike and there calling you gay for driving an auto sports car, your both equating an action or a n object to represent your so called masculinity. If your such a so called man why does it bother you so much. A so called man would shrug it off and do whats best for him best. Its like it takes away from your manhood every time someone says it. I prefer a m/t sports car you dont thats your business I could careless as you do with my preference.

It is not an issue, it's a matter of choice. What you drive doesn't make you who you are and neither does the type of transmission you have. I like my z with the M/T and I like my truck with the A/T.

There no use in starting another one of these. Go read the dozens of other thread on the exact same subject. Or even better, just drop it.
