Seriously, everyone needs to not pass judgement. As long as he respects the car, doesn't drink and drive, and doesn't show off, Icy will be fine. He has made a decision to work hard to get something he wants. Those of you with Kids and/or are married made a similar decision, you wanted a family and are going to work hard to make it work. Good luck Icy, I hope you get your ride. Oh and p.s. I think he was joking about the backseats. Ya'll need to lighten up a bit.

P.S. That comment on Cerrittos Nissan is ********. PIN STRIPES? CAR COVERS? WTF ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT??? They treated me GREAT AND gave me $1000 OFF of MSRP for their HOTTEST car Nissan has ever produced for the states and I didn't even preorder, when they could've easily sold it to someone else for way more $$$. , so take your crap else where. Sounds like some Troll Dealer who can't get the $5K over msrp he so desperatly wants.
Calm down! I am not a dealer, dont accuse me of one when you dont know me. I am simply telling the truth. I went to Cerritos Nissan in March to pre-order. The salesman was very courteous and professional. He was unfamiliar with the pre-ordering and offered to sell the car at MSRP. Before we get down to signing the papers, the general manager butts in and says I have to buy this and that in order to get the car. I dont know his name but he was kinda rude. Maybe he was having a bad day or something. Anyway, I simply walked away. If Cerritos Nissan sold me the car less than MSRP or even at MSRP, I too would think they are the best dealer in town. Unfortuneately, that was not the case for me. I guess I was there at the wrong time.

I have met Icy, and could not believe he was only 17. Very mature regardless of his age.

These people are haters. You do not need to defend your position on why you deserve this car. Sorry you weren't in a position to take advantage when the opportunity came. Things happen for a reason, and your time will come.

At 19, I bought a new (at the time) Eclipse Turbo when it first came out. If you can not fathom that a teenager can drive a nice car, you underestimate the power of human perseverence.

Default Way to go IcyBlue

I think it's fair to say that most of us on this board would have given our left nut at the tender age of 17 to have a car like the Z (although in my case that would have been a '73 240). Your folks are generous but your work ethic is obviously the key that has enabled your good fortune. Enjoy it and ignore the sour grapes.

On the other hand, you clearly are a hard working and possibly gifted student. It seems to me that getting into the absolutely best college you and your parents can afford should be a higher priority. The consequences of that choice will outweight and long outlive any car choice you make now. Hopefully, college admission and tuition are already taken care of, but if not, you may want to re-order the financial priorities. Just a thought from one who's been there.

Peace.

I was being sarcastic, come on now!. I made one childish comment, trust me, I think the Z will provide more happiness than anything in the world. I will keep my dreams and hopes on the Z, unless I win the lottery and could affored an exotic.

LOL Excatly. Cerritos nissan BIRTHED my Z into my arms...for cheap too! I wish I new about the pinstripe option though, that would've been soo sweet. I can just see it now, Dark purple pin stripes up and down my Chrome Silver Z....**** that's worth at LEAST $600, wonder why they didn't offer....that and the $4000 Chromed 17" Rims. I mean, that is a STEAL let me tell YOU! I'm going to call Cerritos tomorrow and demand my refund.
