. Now I understand why there are so many HR nuthuggers on this site
The only reason why I didnt go with the 370z is because I wanted to go NA with the car and changing cams on the 370z is a nono.
why would a cammed HR be better than a VHR?

I would do it if something happened to my current car.
Not exactly a financially responsible decision otherwise.

I did...06 to an 08 just becasue I got such a good deal on the trade. Stock for stock on the street I like the HR more. Could not comment on modded Z's.

So this is kind of a DE vs HR thread only with a twist.

I'm in MD too!
I had an auto '03 Z, a stick '03 G35 coupe, and an '07 Nismo.
I preferred the HR engine.

i was in the same boat when i first bought my 06. "is it worth paying $3000 more for 07 performance and same option?". I decided 06...
maybe invest on FI would be good choice?

For the amount of money that I wanted to pay for a weekend toy, I could have bought a fully loaded '06 or a base '07. After driving them both, I could not tell enough of a difference in the engine to make me want to go with a car with cloth seats and no options.
If/when I ever upgrade, it won't be to a car with only a few more horses like the HR.

same opinion here.
my parents have an HR and I've driven the **** out of it for a few hundred miles, and I can safely say the difference is not really all that noticeable.
the higher redline is fun for sure.

I switched from DE to HR. I regret it cause the HR turned me into an e-thug on this forum.
