Define rare.

It's no more rare or plentiful than any other model year.

I seldom see any DBs at all. There's probably 10X more silvers than all the other colors so in a way, the blues, reds, whites, yellows are all relatively rare.

Congrats on the purchase - it is the best color

Studies have shown that people buy cars that match their personality. Most people desire to blend in with everybody else, be one of the crowd, not stand out from the masses. Therefore they buy silver/gray cars.

White is also up there next to silver in popularity.

Sorry but no. More than half of all 350Zs are silver. Black, blue and red beat white in popularity.

Buying a Car like the 350z has already put them inside a whole new class.
For example, If I bought a Ferrari. No matter what color I choose. I will stand out.

I'm not stating, in anyway, that the 350z class is that of a Ferrari. However, I'm sure being a 350z owner yourself. You should know.

Color is just a preference. The type of Car they drive is a preference of Personality.

Come on. You can't disagree with me that Silver is a very aggressive color.

You do realize that I was being somewhat facetious in my explanation there?

Pics of the new car!
BTW, any interest in selling the stock stereo? Not the amps or speakers, just the head unit with the SAT button.

I meant in general, white is up there in popularity. I didn't mean 350z's.

http://www.marketwatch.com/story/whi...ar-paint-color

"At the top of the list, white put an end to silver's seven-year stint in the lead, with 19% of new cars opting for the absence of color rather than the flagship shade of German sports cars."

it is not that anything is rare per say due to not making it. Its just peoples choice of buying certain colors rather then the next. So if that in theory is defined as "rare" then i suppose it could be. Otherwise NO! Besides any of the DB's that i see are usually Roadsters.

I have a 06 GT DB with 7700miles on it. I believe that there are only 2 other DB's around me, one 15 miles south and one 10 miles north. Neither are GT's. I think GT's are a rarer model than say a base, enth, or a touring. Obviously tracks and Nismo are probably the rarest. But Nismo's werent available in DB. Good pick up, I personally think a fully loaded z is the best of all worlds. Just my own personal opinion people. The mix of brembo's and leather with a nice factory bose system is perfect for me! But personalization is key to everyones ride! I have changed all the performance aspects to suit my needs. So to each thier own. Again, nice purchase!

where did you get that graph from?

Oh to the OP, I think DB HR's are totally rare I have barely seen any. Although, San Marino blue is quite popular

That graph is old, I'm pretty sure. Dates back to 2003. After 2003, Daytona Blue became more and more rare. White actually increased in production (demand for white cars in general has skyrocketed in the past 5 years), while the silvers and black stayed the same.

So yes, an 07 Daytona Blue GT is pretty damn rare. Especially considering 07 is the last year of the color, so you have one of the last DBs made.

I rarely see DB's, I've only seen 2 in the past few years and one lives in my area. I have never seen a yellow one yet and only 1 of the sunset orange or whatever that color is I forget. I've seen like 3 SMB's but I've seen a lot of white, black, silver/silvertone, reds, purple(darkish color), but they are all equally beautiful! I still want to see a yellow one in person haha
