Totally.

To the OP, how was the tread on the tires? Seems a lot of these new crashes could have been avoided by routine maintenance ie: tires

Since you were coming home from a party...............is it possible you had a little too much liquid refreshment?

+1. if not alcohol, some other dumb maneuver was involved. sorry, the physics aren't there, you don't just change lanes on wet pavement and spin out.

It saddens me that a Z was destroyed.
It saddens me that those wheels were unharmed.

I guess no more sportscar for me. I'm 26/M and I didn't drink after the college grad party. There were lots of potholes and it was wet.

I took a look at the car today and grabbed my stuff. I still forgot a few things, but it's okay. It definitely looks totaled. I don't think it can be saved, but the insurance rep will decide on that.

Same thing happened to me when I had my 91 nsx. It was raining hard and I was just cruising along at about 120mph when it spun out for no reason at all. Weird isn't it. Lol

The seats and the stereo are still in great condition. I didn't pay off the car yet. Would they let me sell the parts??
