Spell color and neighbor with a "u".

It turns them into jelly.

driving a z around Boston sucks. There's a patch of road every other pot hole. Glad you're ok

That's why I said you have to be doing something stupid in the snow.... like speeding which can lead to hard braking. If you leave yourself enough time and room to brake you shouldn't be in much trouble besides the car sliding a little. I've driven plenty of miles in the snow with rear wheel drive cars/trucks that had no ABS and no traction control and haven't spun out due to braking or changing lanes.

Forget the rain.... in the snow the driver shouldn't even be spinning out his car for a lane change. Doesn't make sense to me unless he's on bald tires or doing erratic lane changes.

My TCS has never been off in the 5 years of ownership. I wasn't going that fast and to this day have no idea was caused it. It's my first RW drive, so I'll admit it was probably due to driver's error and cold tires. I'm not saying some people aren't intentionally to blame for their accidents and omit the facts [speeding/drinking/texting/road head/etc] but I actually did do a complete 180 and it scared the crap out of me.
Next mod for me will def be an auto x course to improve car control skills.

Default Spun out in Sunny So Cal???

Did the same thing. Was pouring hard about 6am, driving no more than 60-62mph, felt a nudge then realized I was hydroplaning, spun out and hit the center median wall ended up facing traffic on the fast lane. No one hurt no other cars damaged. Dude, we are lucky to walk away from this. My car is in the shop, the damage wasn't anything like yours. Dropping a body kit on this weekend, should be done by early next week.

did you have cruise control on? aftermarket tires and wheels may be a culprit

^+1. You guys should see what some of the über talented drivers we have up here in Baltimore/DC area can pull off on the highways. I'm half expecting one of them to T-bone my car while it's sitting in my garage lol... Do 5 min on 295, you'll understand.

It was pouring rain here last night on my way home from working late. The rain was really bad, and I didn't want to hydroplane. I slowed down to 45 - 50 mph, got over into the slow lane, and put on my hazards until the rain slowed down a bit. I made it home safe.

Moral of the story: slow down.
