Default Anyone know a GREAT auto detailer in Atlanta?

I'll be the first to admit, I have no detailing skills.

While I'd like to learn (the "Detailing Sessions" posted on this site are great)... I simply don't have the time.

My weekdays are full from work--and once I get my 350Z, my weekends will be full of driving time.

I want to cherrish my Black Beauty, but I don't have any idea where I can find a GREAT (not good) automotive detailer that would be able to cherrish her with some nice coats of wax once I get her.

To all the fellow Atlanta Z-owners / to-be owners, where do you plan on getting your baby pampered at?

FYI, just got my VIN# 101907 from United Nissan of Morrow... it looks like an October 10th delivery date... but I am sure that will move up.

Regards,
Sam

Hey Sammy,
When did you preorder and what model are you getting? I also am getting mine in black. A freind that details his 280z had mentioned some space-age compound that will make the black paint job look fluid. His 280 is black also. He has won a couple of contest for best paint job.
I'll get the name of it next week.
Sorry, but I don't know any details shops around.
Do you plan on getting your windows trinted ?

I get mine detailed in the garage I park in downtown. While definately not the best, they do great work, and also do window tinting.

They have taken care of all the issues I've had in the past. I'm pretty particular in what I want done, and it's been not a problem.

Where do you work? I work downtown.

Also, if you park there, they validate your parking there. I think it's like $13 for the day.

Mike

Waiting for my call....

best way to go about it is just to baby it yourself. If you dont have any time, or just dont feel like doing it yourself (i get that way sometimes), go to Car Nutz on Spring road by Cumberland Mall in Smyrna/Marietta.
They do an awesome job, and i know some of the guys. They will baby the hell out of the car...
I do all my work myself...look at the shine...
anybody wanna buy this?
im selling it to get a Z

Default Atlanta Z Detailing

Thanks for all the replys, I really do appreciate them.

I live about a mile south from the Cumberland Mall off of 41/Cobb Parkway in Riverside by Post.

I work off of 285/South Cobb Drive (about 1/4 of a mile outside Perimeter).

I have heard good things about Car Nutz in the past and would like to know any contacts there.

I make it down to midtown/Downtown on the weekends often so that may also be an option.

To be honest, I'd rather by the products (I've heard good thinks about Zaino) and then bring it somewhere else to get done. Again, I'd love to learn how to detail... but right now I just don't have the time.

I ordered from United Nissan of Morrow (they were the only place offering MSRP when I purchased in January). While they haven't been the best (little contact) they have recently been attempting to redeem themselves... I got a call today and said to be expecting a Z Hat and a "Lust then Love" Z Book this week.
I've already got my VIN# (ends with 101907).

Regards,
Sam

know this is not about detailing...but it applies. I just received my VIN; 102155 and I too have been told that I should expect delivery on 10/10. Looking at the ships arriving port of Savanah our cars should hit port on 25 Sep. So, depending on PDI and travel time, who knows if we will get them early. Only questions are these; how do the cars get from port to dealer (train or truck). Also, what is the chance that Jacksonville might be the port? I am so ready to get this car...

Default Car Nutz

I'll give you a PM when I get the car.

I've got a VIN and a tentative delivery date of October 10th.

I think I am going to tint it right away and let the paint breathe for a week or two (since it's been under that plastic wrap for so long).

Then I'll stop by Car Nutz.

What kinda deal can your boy hook me up with?
What products do they use over there?

While not that familar with the detailing, I have heard great things about Zaino products.

Default Highly recommended detailer....

for sammythebull, if you are still looking for a detailer in Atlanta, I can highly recommend Ray Johnson:

Tell your friend in Atlanta to call Ray at 678-576-13019(cell) or 770-962-3556(office). He can also visit my web site at gaautocare.com. We do well at our trade, but if he's far away, I'll hook him up with another good detail service. Unlike most of my personal endeavers, when it comes to detailing "satisfaction is guarenteed". .

and tell him ******* sent you.

from what i understand, Car Nutz is corporate.
they dont even get me deals...but im working on that.
Either way, I know they will use a specific thing if you want...
but i think their 'regular service' wax is a Meguiars based polish....
either way...let me know about the vehicle.
thx

Default gaautocare.com doesn't work...

*******... the website that you gave, gaautocare.com, doesn't work.

I am the one getting the 350Z. Hopefully this month, I'll know more when my dealer runs the inventory pull this morning (as the system was just update due to end-of-month).

Does "Ray" use Zaino? I've heard/read so many good posts about that that I think that will be my preferred product.

I'll even buy the actual products if that lowers the detailing costs.

Again, I just don't have the time to spend all day detailing--yet.

I'm looking for someone to give it a good couple of coats of Zaino and then maybe 1 - 2 times per month give my Black Beauty a nice hand wash/touch up.

Default Sorry about the web site...

however, use the telephone numbers and give Ray a call. He will be glad to talk give you any info on the products he can, and will use. I can truely say, he is one of the most honest people you will ever meet.
I don't know why the web site did not work... that paragraph was copied right out of his e-mail to me.

Default Car Nutz???

*******:

I called Car Nutz earlier today.

I spoke to one of the people there and asked them some basic questions (such as price, expectations, time, etc.) and asked what products they use for wax.

I was informed that they use Zep.

While Zep makes many great things, since they specialize in extremely strong chemical cleaners, Zep Wax (do they even make one) can't be the best.

This seems extremely odd.

Needless to say, Car Nutz won't be getting my business.

Any other suggestions?

-Sam
