Dumb a$$ kid was behaving completely reckless and suffered the consequences. I agree that we have all been stupid in some ways, but I assure you that I have never been through a residential area at near the speed it would take to cause that much damage. What if someone had been in that yard? Consider yourself lucky
This idiot has not only destroyed his parents lives, but we don't know if the passenger mat screwed up for life also. The parents who wanted to be cool in their kids eye and didn't have the ***** to say no are just as much to blame. I hope the passenger lives and sues them for everything they have.

What annoys me is the (***)umption that his parents bought the car for him and that he "deserved" what happened to him. We all make mistakes. No one deserves to die simply because they made a bad decision behind the wheel. And furthermore, he coulda been driving a 92 240sx and had the same thing happen to him. So then, would it still have been the parents fault? Some people on here are annoying with their comments. Sure he shouldn't have been speeding like that, but show some respect. You elders who have kids probably have no idea what your children are doing behind the wheel out there either. So when ur kid ends up dead, I hope someone stands there and tells u It was ur fault. (ends rant)
Its ok though, because I'm sure the deceased childs friends liked his car and he felt cool. I have no children, but there is no way in hell that I would ever put a 17 year old child behind the wheel of a sports car if for nothing except the fact that they are inexperienced drivers. I would not let a 30 year old that just started driving drive my Z either
I guess he picked the right house to wipe out at being the county prosecutor... We all do dumb stunts and we all screw up, this was a screw up and he wasn't lucky enough to walk away. I am 22 and just sold my Z and admit to doing some retarded things that have got me in trouble, I know other members on this site who are much older and wipe out as well.
I joined this forum since thinking about buying a 350z. I have enjoyed reading many of the threads in this forum,and most have been helpful, if not entertaining. This thread is different , the few here that have posted unconscionable remarks sickens me to no end. I need to find out how to put these people on ignore. This is my first post on this forum, but I felt this needs to be said. fwiw

It's sad to see so much negativity here in the thread. You don't even know what really happened out there and there are all these assumptions. Just like someone said, it could've happened in some other car. I know this is 350z forum, but too many fanatics "highly praise" the Z as some super car. It doesn't have to be some 300+ horsepower car to end up in a fatal accident. As far as I know, it can just as well ehappen in a 120 hp civic.

I don't give a schit if it was an 85 chevette and it was a 35 year old driver, you speed like a dumbass, you deserve what you get, and hopefully, a van full of kids isn't your destination.... not that hard to grasp, really.
