talk me out of this...
so im getting the urge to trade in my 03 72xxx miles STS turboed Z for the hyundai genesis 2.0t r-spec, i deep down inside dont wanna give up my Z but im sick of dumping all this money into her.... any advice is welcomed
if you dont want to continue to spend money on your car then, you should think about being a little more mature about the situation. regardless of what you do with your personality your going to do the same thing in the genesis just to keep up with what you had...
but you do what you want
but you do what you want
seriously?? keep the Z. put the money aside for other things. As stated above you'll dump money into the Hyundai for its lack of performance (compared to your current setup). That deep down felling has saved many of us before and that is why we usually listen to it. you should too.
So you're thinking about getting rid of a car that you probably don't owe anything on, to buy another that would will likely owe a bunch on in order to stop spending money.
Learn self control and stop modding the Z. If you buy a Hundai, you're gonna mod it too. You can't win.

Quit buying sports cars that need to be modded to perform. Buy a BMW, Benz, or Audi and leave it alone. Or you could go with an suv and get a Range, Escalade, or something sim.

Why would you ever go from a Z to a Hyundai? Even if it is a Genesis. That too a Turbo'ed Z? That would be like downgrading for me.
Genesis are nice cars, but they got nothing on the Z and this isn't biased opinion, I would say the same thing even if I didn't own a Z.
As far as the mod bug is concerned, trust me you and I are in the same boat. I too keep on getting the urge to modify the Z. But that's something you have to control yourself pretty much. As others stated you'd do the same with your new car. I also have a brand new Mustang which used to be my fav before the Z, and I would just spend all the money modding that. lol
Point being you'll spend money no matter what car you buy, unless you control yourself, budget yourself and only spend what you absolutely must.
