Job security is not guaranteed. Another option would be to stay where your at, get a degree in either the same field or alternate field as back up. This is encase the economy becomes any worse and you, being young and inexperienced (compared to big wigs in your company) might loose your job. At least you will have some schooling or an alternative path to fall upon.

Degrees don't make you smarter, obviously not helping for me as I cant spell a simple flipping word like lose.

At QuikTrip job security is alm ost guarenteed as long as your honest. Also, if they have to lay people off, they continue paying you for either 1 month or 3 months (with %75 or %50 of normal pat), I forget which one. I will look it up today at work and get back to ya. If you ever go into a QuikTrip, lookat the name badges and it will tell you what kind of job security there is. Even as a part-time for th company you have all the access to the numbers as in revenue, sales, operation costs broken down every month (and even some every week). Quiktrip really knows how to make some money.

75% of $1500 pay for 3 months is nothing in the long run. Especially if you've got insurance, a phone bill, a car payment...

Even if you stay with QT, getting an education will only benefit you. It will show your supervisors that you are career minded and want to excel. I know school doesn't appeal to everyone, I started late and hated every minute, but the education I have gotten is irreplaceable and at 26 I make as much as your district managers.

A car is just a car and in 2-3 years, there will a newer, better, cooler car to dream about.

And there's no excuse not to go. Get a loan, try for grants, ask your mom and dad to help.

First off not everyone gets paid the same $1500 you keep talking about. Secondly its guarenteed money while you find another job, it's not like they expect you to be living off of that income the whole time.
