I was honestly 50/50 on doing them, but decided to try it out since they're only like 30 bucks. I'd say I'm 70/30 on them now, but with my solar orange, its a difficult decision (I don't want it to look too much like a jack-o-lantern).

As for the carbon hood, some consider it ricey, but I personally like them on a white Z. Another option is to do a carbon/painted hood like the one abushong504 sold in this THREAD.

Damn that is a sick painted CF hood, I heard you have to be careful doing that, because it can turn out ugly. with the concept im wanting to go, the black hood i think would look good. I'm about 70-30 not doing it on the tail lights, i didnt realize it was so cheap I may give it ago. im a little nervous to see how it well turn out :/

Welcome! I would have loved to have had a Z at 22.

My advice: Read, then read, then read some more. Your questions are too generic to really answer. That's why you are getting flamed. We don't know what you want, like or can afford, so you're going to have to put on your man pants and decide for yourself — After you read a lot more threads.

Since you aren't looking for anything specific yet, don't even bother searching at first. Just click through each section/topic you are interested in and read all the stickys first. You will be miles ahead in knowledge and then have a short list of parts/mods to investigate further.

Thanks I appreciate it. I dont want to sound like a rich spoiled kid because I'm not. I pay for my own car and got a good job. The money thing is no issue. I have no problem with dropping the ball on this, but I want to make sure I do it right. Let me see if this question is a little better. If I get the MotorDyne 5/16 spacer, and the JWT PopCharger. Do i need the Kinetix Intake Manifold and Cold Air Intake??????? And my other question is, How would I do about measuring my hood or finding dimensions, so that I can make sure I buy the Right CF hood?

You might give some thought to joining the Gateway Z Club. It is a pretty good group and could probably give you lots of advice about your Z. Their website is www.gatewayzclub.com.

A JWT PopCharger is a short ram intake. You need to decide whether you want that or the cold air intake. As far as the intake manifold goes, you dont need it if you decide to get the spacer, however, I'm not 100% sure if you can get the spacer and the manifold together.

Im going to do some reading on people who have Injen CAI vs people who have the JWT PopCharger, and see what people say. As for the Spacer. i figured I did not need the intake manifold if I had the spacer.

1. You do not need the spacer with the kinetix. Its basically the same result.

2. Short Ram = sucking in hot air from the engine bay
CAI = places the filters behind the front bumper or outside of the engine bay, which sucks in colder air than say the short ram.

Thank you sir. I think im sticking with the Cold Air INtake, someone told me that the CAI tubing was a little longer than the JWT popcharger? is that going to affect timing to where I can notice, or should I not worry? The Spacer is the cheaper alternative to the manifold. Not sure which one I should still get. I have been getting mixed reviews by some friends and peers. Im going to keep researching. Its hard to pass up on a 200 dollar spacer, compared to a 750 dollar intake manifold :/

Save your money and go with a spacer. It doesn't sound like you have any intentions of going FI anytime soon.

In all honesty, the gains on the intake are so minimal the only thing you are going to notice is the "wiiisshhh" sound.

My intentions are After this spacer and intake scenario is out, is the Exhaust. I can not decide between Borla and HKS . Then after the full exhuast system, im getting the HKS coil system, and debating now on Avarus AV4's or work meister s1's

Trodis, you're being helpful and all to this kid, quite egging him on. He need to do his own research and come up with his decision. This noob need to learn on his own. All your doing is force feeding him. You should rename this thread to "Loolershakes Personal Mod". It's not fair to all other noob's thread that got deleted or locked for asking the same question that this one is asking. /

For pure performance skip the intake totally and just get s drop-in K&N filter. Most tests have shown that gives the greatest gain, although it is all of 2-5 HP, lol. For looks, go with the short ram be it a JWT or whatever.
No matter what you go with, someone is going to tell you that you made a poor decision - get over it. And you might take your own advice and quit giving sh#t back, even if someone is giving it to you. Doesn't get anyone anywhere and long term members here are not going to take it, as you have seen. Search function here is not the greatest but with some effort, you can find a lot of information Just my $.02
