Default Car Accident :(

Does it look like any of the insides are bent beyond repair or pieces missing(minus the body and headlights)?

The story: Me and the car in front of me were driving. The car in front of the guy that I hit, stepped on his brakes. The car in front of me switched lanes quickly instead of braking. I ended up hitting the car in front of him.

my uneducated guess based on this single picture is that it's repairable, just will be costly.

Looks like the minor rear ender I was in. I hit a jeep cherokee. the only reason my car was ****ed up the way it was, was because of the exhaust on the jeep. It ripped through my front bumper hit my headlight hood and ripped my fender like yours. Didn't do anything to my engine pieces or inner fender wall either. As long as it didn't crumple the inner fender wall, your airbags didn't go off and ur bumper bar didn't get damaged you'll be fine. It'll just be a costly repair. My repair was $6k with worker hours, paint, and body parts.

But it looks like your door and side skirt are messed up also so it might get pricier!

I'd be surprised if his front suspension didn't need a little work too.

Its a 2005. My wheel and door are undamaged. The fender is pushed under the door crack though, so it opens a little. His bumper took out my headlight and basically everything kinda squished back up until door. People at the body work looked at it briefly and said there was no frame damage.

I really dodged a bullet on damage. I had enough time to steer out the way and just barely avoided my engine

Well on my old car, i had the same type of collision with the same amount of damage as you and it took like 3-4 weeks till it was fully repaired and driveable. It takes time to evaluate the car and see what parts need to be ordered, then reassembling all the parts once they arrive, then prep and paint. This all depends also on how busy the shop is.

Bummer. Did you get a ticket in addition to the damage to the car? GTF&FTC maybe??

lmao@buffer.

I didn't get a ticket. My car was driveable. I drove about a half a block because they guy I hit drove off for whatever reason. Then I pulled into the gas station. Im not sure if I want to drive it again, cause I'd drive like a granny after this lol

Arent you getting charged for hitting the guy in front of you? Whether or not he slammed on his brakes you still hit him in the rear
