can you please type in an informative way. That's total bs , my cars under my moms name and she has never stepped in the dealership for the services done to my car. I've done all of the appointments when they replaced my motor , oil changes , etc etc and its always me at the dealership not her. If they're giving you then run around just show up to the dealership with your sister and demand some answers.

Give Carfax a shot. I tried contacting my buddy at a Nissan dealership but he's not there this afternoon.

Just for ***** and giggles I Googled the VIN. See many problems already. Listed as base but description makes it sound like a Touring.

With 23 records, I betting there's some obvious clues to the mileage issue there.

Based on the asking price (1K more than your 84K retail value), I'd say he bought the car at a fair price.

According to KBB, a 2003 Touring with 83000 miles has a retail value of $14,810. The car was listed at $14,995 and negotiable so assuming OP was bright enough to talk them down a little, he paid what it was worth for the mileage that was truly on it. Whether it was a fluke or not, he didn't get screwed.

Interesting. The seller is admitting odometer fraud after the fact?

Do do sign anything.
Contact a lawyer.

Why do you say “we” and "my sister" called. You own the vehicle correct?

New recommendation: You do not own the car. Let grownups handle this.

I will get it next time he is working, probably Monday. Suggest OP try and grow a set and handle the situation on his own or with the owner of the car his sis. I would imagine if he signed a contract with 49K the contract is incorrect and probably invalid. Stealership would probably take the car back and go after the person that traded/sold it to them as it was fraudulently represented to them.

Will scan the carfax and post Monday Morning if needed still

I wouldnt even be going out of my way to help this guy. HE didnt even do his due diligence and he was the one spending $15k on a car. Ignorance is no excuse.
