Forged Performance: A Reintroduction
bandwagon? I dont consider it a bandwagon when the guy has proof.....and I do not consider it low or dis respectable to defend your company on the biggest VQ website. I think if anything they should give us the benefit of the doubt and explain why they took the approach and why they put the wrong parts in. I do not want anyone touching my car who puts wrong parts on. Ordering I understand is an issue. everyone makes mistakes.....but how the hell do you put wrong parts on a vehicle....................................thats sloppy and lazy in my book. Won't ever touch my VQ motor.

As for the bandwagon comment, I consider it a band wagon when people who've never even visited the FI and list window tint as a mod bandwagoners.
^who are you?! judging by your list of mods you probably wouldn't be a customer anyways. You've been on this forum all of 2 months, so where do you get off acting like a big swinging dick in a vendors thread?

Why would they need to? They already made their point- "we're here". Anything else is moot. I don't blame them for not contributing though, who would want to keep beating the same dead horse with a stick over and over again?
Right! They were to the point, re-made there appearance and that was that.
It is sort of like fishing. Throw out the bait and wait for bites.

If anyone does bite, and they are served with new found service personnel. Please post something good or bad depending so we know if it is once again safe.
I knew this thread wouldn't go smoothly, but you guys are heading right towards ban-town if you don't cool it.
I don't know about most people, but I always put more stock in the negative reviews of a company because they tend to give me a better idea of how they work. If they really did try to cover up the bad job they did...that says a lot to me.
Having never been to them before, I would probably still use them if they had good prices. But I would definitely take precautions to protect myself.

Is the one G37 the only case that has been handled terribly?
If so, I'm not sure one bad apple ruins the bunch, when the bunch is made up of hundreds of delicious ones (I'm speculating here).

The majority of the people replying to this thread have been members for what? 2 yrs?
I have been around since the beginning; over 7 yrs ago. Since Sharif was just a regular member like you or me. I watched him build his business to something I consider pretty substantial and respectable. He has continued to grow during a time when the economy has been less than stellar. Has the road been without bumps? No.... but that is to be expected. No business can satisfy every single person that they work with.
I have done two builds on my car alone and another build on a close friend of mine's car. I have dealt with numerous shops and sharif is a person I will continue to do business with. There are shops mentioned in this thread that I will not do business with, yet others put them ahead of forged.. that's just the way this industry is.
Using insurance is not a bailout. Using insurance is likely a last resort for most companies..... increased premiums, being dropped from your company, and possibly being marked as uninsurable are all possible ramifications of turning a claim over to the insurance company. It is NOT a bailout and those involved should be thankful he has insurance AND that he was willing to use it. I am not down playing the situation, but **** happens in life.
Everyone is free to choose the shop they feel most comfortable with and that is the great thing we as individuals have going for us.

I think your all going at this in the wrong way.
The so called botched job on someones g37 was and has been the only bad thing that i have heard from the company going down. To be honest no one but the people involved really know the truth to what went down. Therefore you cannot really get a true idea of how things were handled.
To top it off it was "bad" work done to the vehicle due to wrong parts being installed. As what is being told and or said.
Does not mean someone cannot themselves buy the right parts by giving the right information needed to obtain the right parts.
So i believe you can still buy the parts and have someone else install them if that were the case.
Only problems would be that they either sent wrong, and or back-ordered the parts. No biggie that HAPPENS ALL THE DAMN TIME!!!!!!!
As far as complaints toward a company i listen, learn, and formulate my own opinion about a company depending on the way they handle and deal with things toward ME!
Other then that everything else is a story, or opinions with out concrete proof.
in 2010 where all hell is breaking loose i think it is only fair to give a company a second chance at redemption. If they cannot follow through with that then BASH them all you want. And run them out of town. Till then i'll still be ordering what i need when i need it.

Not that Forged is a HORRIBLE company. **** happens and people become unhappy. That happens to every business. It's how they handle it after the fact. There are a lot of VERY nice rides that have came out of Forged.
Is it me...or are most of the guys who were "threatened" bunch of Poonanys? If something like that went down toward me. I would of taken the next flight out to see them in person.
I mean if you already spent 20k and over, whats a 100 dollar plane ticket? Or better yet if you live CLOSE!

I plan on going to Forged next week with my Z33. I had a bad experience with another Z shop in central Georgia (won't ever go back there after spending about 13k on my TT Z32). Taken all things into account over the years, Forged has as good a rep as any.
