Many of you already know us from the years of service in the tuner community. But with a new waves of new members we wanted to reintroduce ourselves to you on this forum. We want to thank all of you for your warm hospitality, business and friendships over the years.

Forged Performance is a full service parts, distribution, installation, tuning, and fabrication facility located in the heart of Marietta, GA. As one of the largest Nissan, Subaru, Mitsubishi, and Porsche specialty shops in the eastern half of the USA, we are uniquely positioned to offer the highest level of performance and customer service in the industry.

Forged is owned and operated by true motorsports enthusiasts. Our staff of 12 full time employees are highly trained and experienced in all facets of high performance automotive work. From our in-house engine builders, to fabrication specialists, sales associates, and certified tuners, we all love what we do each day.

Our consistency and high ethical work standards are well documented throughout the industry. Dozens of our builds have been featured in numerous publications, including Turbo Magazine, Modified Magazine, Import Tuner, and Nissan Sport Magazine. PERFORMANCE PARTS INSTALLATION:
Forged Performance is a full-service facility, with seven lifts and a fully-equipped, clean workshop for any needed services. Our dealer certified and experienced technicians are here to professionally install all of your parts and accessories. Oftentimes, bolt-on parts, are anything BUT bolt-on. Over the years, we have "seen it all", and are confident in installing, fabricating, and adapting the most complex parts for the best fitment possible.


Unlike some shops that simply throw a part on a car, our techs go above and beyond, such as discretely looming and routing lines, soldiering and heat-wrapping electrical connectors, and using grommets and heat wrap where appropriate. Vehicles leave our facility in the same or better condition than when they arrived. Each car is thoroughly washed and detailed inside and out prior to delivery. Although we are one of the largest stocking parts dealers, we will gladly install parts that are purchased elsewhere.

Forged Performance is one of a handful of shops, that builds their own race winning engines in-house for maximum quality control. With a zero failure rate, our engines have proven themselves both on the road and on the racetrack. And having pioneered many of the standard engine building parts and practices in the tuning community, our engines are second to none.

Forced induction is our specialty, and we have completed more forced induction installs on Nissan's, Subaru's, and Mitsubishi's than just about any other shop in the country. Experience, safety, and maximum reliable power are our motos's.

 

CUSTOM FABRICATION:
Forged Performance's in-house fabricators can handle your most demanding and intricate custom projects. Whether it's fabricating a simple mounting bracket, custom intercooler piping, exhaust, or suspension components, we have the experience and skills necessary to quickly complete the job.

Using industrial Miller Tig and Mig welding equipment, and a complete assortment of metal working machines we are able to fabricate anything our customers or technicians can dream up.



GENERAL MAINTENANCE & REPAIR:
Forged Performance offers full manufacturer approved maintenance services and general repairs. From oil and filter changes to a complete 60K service, our technicians perform all dealer recommended maintenance routines in our clean, state of the art facility.

Unless otherwise stated, we use only original equipment replacement parts. Our prices are typically 30% less than comparable services performed at the dealership. We treat each vehicle as if it was our own...really we do. Working surfaces are protected from scratches or stray tools. Floor mats, and seat covers, along with a full exterior wash and interior vaccum are performed prior to vehicle delivery. Just a few of the small extras that sets Forged Performance apart from the others.


DYNO TUNING:
Forged Performance's facility is equipped with a 1200whp capable Dyno Dynamics AWD load based dyno; one of the few in this part of the country. Fully trained and certified in a dozen engine management systems, chances are we can tune it!

Among the top Nissan, Subaru, and Mitsubishi tuners in the country, Sharif Abdelbaset, has well over a 1000 dyno tunes under his belt. In addition to years of experience tuning Haltech, HKS , AEM, Motec, Hydra, UTEC, Cobb, and ECU based reflashes, we are also HKS Pro-Dealer certified by HKS to tune the coveted HKS Fcon Vpro. Only a select group of facilities are authorized and licensed to tune these sophisticated engine management systems and we undergo a rigorous recertification process each year by HKS. Sharif was among the first tuners in the country to write custom maps for the R35 GT-R back in 2008 so his library of knowledge and data makes him a very sought after GT-R tuner.

Modern engine management tuning is half science, and half art. We take our time with each calibration, to ensure maximum performance and safety across the entire RPM range. Many "tuners" simple load up a map, and make 3 dyno pulls and call it done. Our approach is entirely different, whereby a unique calibration is created in real-time for each vehicle. With a flat rate approach to tuning, we'll take as much as needed to perfect each tune. And our load based Dyno Dynamics ensures we can hit each load cell, and optimize part throttle mapping, rather than just wide-open-throttle blasts on the typical inertia dyno that many shops utilize.

Our dyno is available for outside tuner's use, and engine break in routines as well.


RACE CAR PREPARATION:
Much of our success has come from track testing and racing many of the products we sell, and pressure checking our tuning and building strategies in the most competitive environments. If you are looking for a dual purpose track car, or a dedicated Time Attack car, Forged Performance can manage it's creation from start to finish.


NASA, SCCA, and Time Attack sanctioning bodies have strict rules on preparing cars for racing. We do all the research to make sure you're car is prepared in a safe and professional manner. We make sure the car meets the requirments of your class. We specialize in fire suppression systems, custom roll cages, seat mounting and driver placement, driver safety gear, chassis stripping, stiffening, and major exterior modifcations.

We offer in-house suspension setup, race alignments, corner balancing, and pre-track inspections as well.

Our services also include complete track side racing support with a full compliment of technicians, spares, and equipment needed to maintain your race car. If you want an "arrive and drive" service, just ask!


DRIVER COACHING:


Motorsports and track day/HPDE's have never been more accessible, but attending an open lapping session or a structured HPDE can be a little bit daunting. If you are ready to experience the benefits of dedicated one-on-one instruction, a private instruction session just might be the ticket to faster lap times.

In addition to his tuning and General Manager responsibilities at Forged Performance, Sharif Abdelbaset is also available for HPDE driver coaching or track car testing. In addition to holding a NASA competition license and instructor certifications from several organizastions, Sharif earned 5 podium finishes in the Redline Time Attack series in 2008. In 2009 Sharif took 3rd place overall with 4 more podium finishes with his Nissan GT-R all across the country. This year he has continued his victories in NASA Time Trial events throughout the country and has reset a couple track records in the process! If you you near a NASA South East event, you owe it to yourself to watch the GT-R in action on the track. It's an amazing site to be seen, and consistently the fastest thing on 4 wheels!


While instructing, his students point out his ability to communicate clearly and effectively, and his ability to tailor the training session to each student's style and their vehicle. Sharif has seat time and racing experience in many vehicles, including Lamborghini, Porsche, BMW, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Subaru, and many others. His ability to articulate feedback and direction while focusing on the track is very comforting to his students. Oftentimes, focusing on just one two skills will yield seconds of lap-time improvement. I seem to remember a few pretty serious threads to the contrary, like the guy with the new G37 that spent over $25K with Forged that had some pretty shoddy fab work done to his car, and it was even damaged while in your possession.

Was he ever compensated or taken care of? That thread got locked some time ago without any resolution posted.

Hopefully the conditions that lead to issues like that have been dealt with and corrected, 'cause it really seemed like you were a great force in the community.

Sharif is a great marketer. Unfortunantly he tuned my car but in the end went with Sam at GTM. I can't say I would recommend Forged to anyone

Hi, I'm the one with the G37 you mention.....I believe Sharif stated a few months back on here that he was taking care of me and such....what he did is just turn things over to his insurance to bail him out of this mess. I hate that things like this can be covered by insurance....why worry about quality when you can be bailed out. It has been a long process, and there is still no resolution. The insurance company just inspected the car last week so hopefully things are getting close. Reading this thread just makes me sick.....my car was filthy on the inside, body damage on the outside, wrong parts, and you all know the rest of the story.....leaves better than when it got there....what a joke.

 

Wow, I just read that story and I actually feel sick about it.... I would never wish anything like that upon anybody. I hope everything works out for you.

These guys are absolutely A+ on their customer service. Ryan, Sandy, and Sharif are always a pleasure to talk to. Turbo kit and associated hardware installed and looking like it came that way from the factory.

 

I dealt with sharif on purchasing an exhaust a long time ago. He was a nice straight up dude and did me right. So I got nothing bad to say.

Really? Why dont you check your drivetrain sale thread in the vendor classifieds, I've been waiting on a quote for weeks, nevermind I'll just get it from SPL Parts, I'm sure they are cheaper anyway.

 

I want to know what qualifies Sharif to be a driving instructor. These guys have always been pleasant and fun to party with. But driving instructions!? I would think that as a driver he is still honing his skills. What true qualifications...

This is the type of crew management caliber I would want in a support team.

I agree that HPDEs are always looking for willing instructors, but is this a billable skill on forged's part?


I myself have a NASA Comp License, along with multiple finishes in SCCA events, but I would not imagine selling my skills as a driving instructor. Also take into account, I have had almost 10 years of flight instructing, including aerobatics, formation instruction. My skills in handing the fundamentals of the instruction environment including the psychology and teaching techniques picked up over years of experience.

Not to be negative, I guess to each his own. On the positive side, Forged has always been available for parts when I needed them fast. Although they may be 5% higher priced than some other vendors, their stock and customer service with sourcing parts was nice and reliable.
