All I had to see was the domain name to figure that out...

The price is obviously way off, so...

Avoid scams and fraud by dealing locally! Beware any deal involving Western Union, Moneygram, wire transfer, cashier check, money order, shipping, escrow, or any promise of transaction protection/certification/guarantee.

Just because the price is way off doesn't mean it's a scam. If you can see the car with your own eyes at his place I don't see how it can be a scam. Maybe he just made a typo and he just needs to fix it.

The ad seems legit, just a mistake with the price.

99.9% of the time it's a scam if there's no phone number included.

Disagree. I sell a boat load of things on CL. Any non-dealer that includes their phone number is asking for a barrage of calls for other stuff. Once email and interest are established, I supply my phone number.

Troof. I never put my number or email down on craigslist stuff, you get a bunch of phishing crap from there all the time and the less personal info you put up the better.

Obvious price error though.

Unfortunately, 95% of the time, it does.

I don't think it's a typo, looks extremely fake to me.

Drive Type 2 wheel drive - rear
Fuel Type Gasoline
Doors Two Door

That indicates it's a scam. It's a copy paste from a general description of the car, and includes the "Drive Type".... Right... Plus his email is martin.lutherr. So either this is a legitimate martin luther with a 350z and he feels the need to indicate that it is two wheel drive via the rear wheels, or he is a nigerian scammer who looked up famous american people and copy pasted some BS.

Scam. But screw it, email him and see what he has to say. You have nothing to lose.

Try getting a phone number. Scammers won't talk to you on the phone usually.

If you start hearing the typical scammer talk like "out of town", "shipping" or "cashiers check" then drop it.

Or screw with him like the P-P-P-Powerbook!

LOOKS and IS are two different things hommie. Everybody needs to stop assuming and the OP needs to do his own damn research than posting this type of thread. Email the seller see what he says. Get the number and talk to the seller. There are some many red flags that you can find out by seeing the reply's from the seller. If it's a car sale I wouldn't touch it if you can't see it in person.

That is not necessarily true.. scammers do this hoping to collect emails and then sell them to spammers.

There are much more efficient ways for scammers to collect email addresses.

Plus, if you don't have a junk email address that you can give out freely then you should get one.
