You guys would love this kid that went to high school with me..
Got a brand new 328xi coupe. Hit a wall doin 80+, and totalled it. Got a white 350z, drove it into a deep puddle and totalled it, got a black 350z with 20s on it, and i consistently see him doing donuts in it, speeding aorund, and acting like a dipshit.
Now he wants to sell it because it doesnt do very well in the snow (summer tires with RWD, who woulda thunk?) and is going to get an 08 C class mercedes, 7 seris BMW, or a Land Rover (he is still deciding. He has to be baller though, thats what he walways tells me
)
BTW i am 18 with a G sedan. I'm a badass (
) Actually, the car is reliable, safe, and wont be breaking down all the time. My parents had an 04 G and loved it. Now my dad has an 08. They are great cars.

Some of you, old and young, are in desperate need of a reality check. Being over 25 doesn't make you infallible and making your own car payments doesn't make you responsible. Someone being younger than you doesn't automatically make them less intelligent and/or less responsible. Show some respect to your fellow man. If you're a kid that doesn't pay for your car, that's great. Good for your parents for being successful and having the means to give their kids nice things. I hope they judged you well enough and you don't kill yourself, but I know plenty of 17-18 year olds that would be just fine in the z. I don't own a z, but at 20 I KNOW I am more than responsible enough and experienced enough to own one. Here's a mind blower for you "old farts," I made more this year in a matter of months, with Ford and Zoltek stock, than most people on this forum likely make in a year and I haven't spent a dime of it yet. The original money came from working part time. If I buy a z with my own money, am I any less deserving simply because I'm 20 or is there some magical cutoff after your teens that makes you deserving and responsible enough? You're blind and stubborn if you think so. The 30 year old men arguing with 17 year olds and calling them names are just as childish and probably just as irresponsible. Maybe you don't "deserve" to drive a z. Maturity doesn't always come with age.
You don't make money off stock unless you sell it and dont' say dividends because they pay $hit. I purchased alot of bank stock, Wells Fargo for one, when it was 8$. Today it ended near 30$. I doubled up my investment and that was extremely lucky but I definitely didn't make 80k.
Also, I work at a bank, and have an investment banker/financial consultant who's been in the game for 17 years tell me about his work as I am aspiring to do what he does someday. He said in 17 years, he's only doubled up a handful of customer's earnings, but the majority of the time his job entails rigorous risk assessment to see how much a customer is willing to lose; and usually, 99.9% of people are content with a mutual fund that returns 5-10% of their investments a year.
If you made 80k this year based on those 2 stock, you basically invested 60-70 grand in liquidated assets into a very risky market. You might as well have thrown that money on a blackjack table. Knowing 99.9% of people in this world, nobody will throw their life savings away for 2 company's worth of stock, and knowing you, with your 'intellectual' approach to all of the arguments placed against you on this forum, I doubt you are that stupid.
Lastly, if you don't own a Z, what are you doing here? Your presence on this forum without the vehicle this forum is dedicated to clearly shows that you are merely here to prove your worth to a bunch of people who could care less.. Have fun!
